Dropped tonight and it has no graphic.

Fine by me, I like to show off my naked skull.

There was a post a LONG ways down that stated no here is not a graphic. Which is cool, I DONT want a graphic.

I prefer to look like I am running around naked. IMHO, clerics are suppose to be humble healers and I prefer to look the part. I go out of my way to find items that have NO graphic on them.

This cap is perfect for that means (aside from the awesome stats) and I am going out of my way to get one.

Take care folks.

FT II???? Who Cares!!!

At lvl 65 my husbands shaman gains 139HP from this and 85 mana + 15 Wis. FT II is a nice bonus to this but from his viewpoint the HP/MANA aspect of this is nicer then the effect. He wishes it was enduring breath lol.

Well once a shaman gets Canni5 they care less about mana regen, 1200 mana every 3 minutes makes all the difference. My 60 Shaman uses it constantly, the AA not the helm.

DRUIDS ROCK
# Jan 23 2004 at 11:56 AM Rating: Default
I think it is funny to see," In my guild, this will go to Clerics only". Then in the next post by the same idiot,"Have you ever seen a Druid in CH chain at higher levels? They can't keep up". Really? You mean a Druid with no or little FT can't keep up with a Cleric with FT15. OMG. What a revelation! I am a Druid. Druids have serious advantages over CLerics in Groups. In raid situations, I encourage you to parse with and without a Druid's debuffs. When the Chanter dies, who is gonna root park. When the idiot Cleric dies who doesn't know how to control aggro, who fills in the CH rotation. Seriously. I know I can't heal as well as a Cleric. Especially fast heals. You kill us. But, in a CH chain, I never have a problem keeping up mana. And yes, in my guild, I have been in the CH chain on many kills.

The truth is, I learned to be a raiding style Druid, I have to be able to keep up in a CH chain. So I went for Mana pool, mana regen, Spec Abj, and my AA's are all mana pres or Healing helpers.

Point-A Druid CAN hold his own in CH chain, if he knows how. A Necro feeding a Druid=Better than a Cleric on his own.

Flame away, I would bid all my raid points on this betty, and wouldn't feel a bit of remorse for anyone who lost. Of course, my guild is excited when any class gets an uber item.
RE: DRUIDS ROCK
# Jun 04 2004 at 1:20 PM Rating: Decent
I agree with you 100% in my last guild before the guild leader went crazy and killed the guild i was on many CH rotations sometimes before himself eventhough he was a cleric, i do have thsi item and its amazing. The druid CH is tops bout 5k and its 600 mana the cleric is more HP and 400 mana so obiviously we cant do asmany as a cleric or heal for as much but personally i have been in on the HP encounter in ssra temple ont eh CH rotation and when a cleric LDed on the AoW encounter in Kael and in Creator in ssra i had no problem filling in for him untill he came back. All a druid needs is a necro to keep him up and a bard always helps if a druid wtih FT 15 and SD,c5,Mask of Forest, Bard mana, 9, and AA thats 77 a tick so at 600 mana a cast on a 10 second casting time it is possible to keep a druid going for quite a long time.(add in clickie stick and necro and its very easy to keep going) So yes druids do deserve FT as do clerics and all other classes thats why most guilds that i know of try their best to make it so that the better items that they get to drop go to the PERSON that can help the guild the most not just the class that they view as best fitting the item. Feel free to flame away at me.

And as far as this item goes its a common drop and very easy to farm theres little to no reason why if you want one you cant get it i know people that can pair this mob its not easy in any way but it is possible all you need is a chanter with a big nasty as a pet and a druid to heal and what not. i have yet to try it but i know people in my old guild that did it.

quit crying
# Nov 14 2003 at 10:01 AM Rating: Decent
all this crying about which class deserves this more is giving me a headache. theres a reason more than one class is able to use an item, becuase it obviously benifits those classes in each way, somehow. i have never seen a guild raid, or a pickup raid deny a person to bid/roll/ whatever your loot system is becuase another class could/would benifit from it more.

last night in a pickup raid i won this item, out of the 8 or so people rolling for the item, there were 4 druids, 3 clerics and a shammy rolling for it.. and each class had something to do with taking down this over grown pile of poo to be able to roll on it.

and for the guy who said "when does a druid or a wizzy ever need ft to port?" ever xloc'ed 45 people from a raid after it was over? gets a bit mana intensive... every bit of mana regen helps to get people home and out of harms way.

Our guild uses Druids in the CH Rotation, so their need for FT is the same as that as a clerics. Besides, we have a simple solution - keep killing Brynju until everyone that wants a cap has one :).

Being high enough to get this most shamans would not be ticked about giving up this item to a GUILD cleric. I'm constantly Canning and Quies'ng no matter what FT I have. During raids I'm not even using those stoopid little summoned thingies that the cute little spellchuckers summon for mans conversion. You clerics and droods can argue all you want over this topic but I'll take the Hp and stam over FT any x.

What on earth would you rather take over this? It has friggin 100 HP's and 13 STA on it. And saves aren't all bad on this baby.

Its' the ultmate shammy helm. The FT and the slight raw mana + wisdom-mana boost is a bonus, but the 100 HP and 13 STA is /DROOL

If an item has SHM DRU CLR on it then that means all 3 classes will benifit from it. Saying the Cleric would benifit from it more then a Druidis just out right wrong.I play all 3 classes for long time and there is reason one class should get an item before the other 2. Its the reason you have /random .Like many players stated above FARM it till all have it.

RE: Why a debate?
# Sep 04 2003 at 2:34 PM Rating: Decent

Here we are, another selfish cleric. Your raids would wipe in those zones without a shaman to slow you, and you'd be STUCK there without a druid or wizard to port you out!

You cant possibly say one class deserves this more than another. No cleric can keep a MT alive vs. dragons in ntov, or handle constant heals in pof, etc. for a very long time. You'd be out of mana REAL fast, if not for that forgotten shaman who's probly dead before your first heal even landed on the MT.

Any who can roll on this should, and not get a lesser chance at it due to class favortism. Try to find 1 planes group without a slower in it, or 1 raid without druids/wizards to port people out of the zone or at least evac groups to entrance.

Druids are awesome healers, they cant do complete heals, but with 2 of them, they dont NEED too. I had a group chain pulling mobs for an hour and a half without a single med break because we had 2 druids healing. What cleric can keep up that long without a single break?

When you fight this mob, you remember who slowed it so the damn item drops to begin with. It'll be your shaman or enchanter. And that's more important than your heals, if that slow dont land your a goner to begin with. So knock off the "that should go to a..." crap.

Selfish cleric? Are you listening to yourself? Or did you just not read my post, I clearly stated I wasn't being selfish, moreover that I would be happy to hand this down to someone else that needed it more than I did. GEE MAH, that's real selfish isn't it?

Number two, why in bertha's name would a druid or wiz need a FT item to help them port? Please refer to my post again, mr. king of the obvious. My ENTIRE post was relating to the item's FT.

Have you even been in Ntov? Have you been to PoF? What in god's name are you talking about....a cleric can't keep the MT alive in these zones???? What lousy clerics do you have in your guild? Oh gee....look at me makin the same stupid mistake you did....I wasn't paying attention to what you posted.

I WAS TALKING ABOUT GUILDS....there you go talking about groups, wasn't I talking about for the better of the guild. Gosh, there i go being selfish again.

QUOTE= "What cleric can keep up that long without a single break?"

Umm...I've been in PoE, even lesser levels, BoT. I've not had to stop for a single minute to meditate for hours on end. What level are you? I would hate to excuse you saying this on ignorance, but that's how it seems. Looks like you aren't even in this zone or close to it. Any decent cleric can do the job of 1 or 2 druids without meditating easily.

QUOTE=
"When you fight this mob, you remember who slowed it so the damn item drops to begin with. It'll be your shaman or enchanter. And that's more important than your heals, if that slow dont land your a goner to begin with. So knock off the "that should go to a..." crap"

Yeah your right, I should give you guys props...who needs a cleric for complete heal rotations anyway...pfft. So the slow is more important than the heals eh? Hmm...I would have to disagree, because how can the raid stay alive without a healer? Again I have to ask...were you listening to yourself? Personally I think the slower and the healers are equally important, that's kindof obvious.

One last thing Tanto, all mighty prevayer of knowledge and all things right.(if you didn't laugh go look up the indian tanto...or even better, shoot yourself):

I want to level with you, all snyde comments and hateful feelings aside. I agree with you in that druids can be good healers, but when do you see druids being the main healers on higher end raids? I've never seen it and it won't happen...maybe spot healers and assist healers, sure. And two, if you have ever been on a raid where you are fighting multiple 65 mobs that can't be mezzed then you start to realize that the two most important classes are SHAMAN AND CLERIC. For simple obvious reasons, the mobs that can't be mezzed need to be slowed, and more obviously everyone needs to be healed.

BUT HERES THE KICKER: Shaman's have one to two MANDATORY CASTS ON EACH MOB, thats a resist debuffer and a slow. To compensate for the possibility of going lom or resisting a lot, they have CANNI 5. Clerics on the other hand have to either spam heal or rotate CH a LOT either per mob or per several mobs. Do clerics have ANYTHING that slightly resembles ANYTHING that will give them that much mana? I think not...

So again tanto, by logical deduction for the better of the guild, FT 15 for your clericS.(and please take emphasis in the S because, I wouldn't want to come off as being selfish again now would I?)

And just in case you missed the point, druids aren't relied on as much as clerics on higher end raids for heals. Shaman's have less to mandatorily cast, plus you have more than one shaman to cast the same spell. Clerics are needed in abundance to spam and ch rotate to keep the raid going and have no way to gather mana quickly aside from a trans rod(which everyone else has).

I invite you, tanto, to come to the druzzil ro server and sit with me for a couple hours as I group and never have to stop to meditate, or come along to a raid and see how heals and slows are equal.

Also I challenge you to talk to any of the guilds that are in PoT Afterlife, Foh, Township rebellion, Hoss(just to name a few). Ask them how important FT 15 is for clerics.

P.s.: How's your foot taste?

#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 17 2003 at 1:26 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The point is, your are an idiot b, all priest clast's have their share of healing to do on raids, its druids and shaman's spot healing MT while cleric's are doing their rotation to keep the tank up. shammies are better than druids for that cause they can can/topor and keep on healing. fast heal's help alot im glad my guild is on a dkp point system. im the proud owner of this helm. i hope all priest's can win this nifty helm. gratz to the winner's.

Druids Cry?

True Druids are the redheaded step child of VT. Most groups I been in most want Pot9 now, cleric heals, loots and makes off with 90% of the loots to so call cover the cost of dots, "What dots?". If no cleric in the zone everone want the druid with 4K+ heals and 1700+ 3 sec heal. But is the druid even loot'in? Not likly the MA or one of his bubs is. When group break any offer of split not likely. POP has not encouraged grouging but made most foos greedy. So you wonder why druids solo it cause they have to to buy there own gear and spells. So don't knock a druid till you played one!

I usually loot one gem to cover most Gem costs. I say Gem because I use more than Peridots. I also use Emeralds for Divine Intervention when I know I have a tough fight coming. Once I have my gem, I let everyone else loot until everyone has had a chance to loot something. If someone is being a loot *****, they go on my blacklist and I usually am pretty good at keeping them out of my groups. If someone has a problem with this, fine. They go on my blacklist too. I go out of my way to be as fair as possible and I expect others to be also. Good Clerics do not need more than one gem to cover costs because they keep everybody alive so they do not have to rebuff. Smart Clerics have SCR, SCRM and anything else to extend their buffs so they do not have to rebuff as often.

Kothall is correct. You want cash, go solo. You want Experience? Get a group.
RE: Druids Cry?
# Aug 31 2003 at 5:13 PM Rating: Decent
You want loot? Solo.

You want XP? Group.

Clerics, Druids, Enchanters, etc... anyone not melee gets the shaft on loot in groups. Melee are just flat out loot whores. If you find the rare exception to this, stick with them but don't expect to get loot unless you stop meding and/or have good melee folks around.

My druid solos quite a bit and can pull in 1k+ per solo run without much problem. Neither my enchanter nor cleric solo so they get the shaft on loot.

Last group my druid was in, he made 22pp in loot in 6 hours in PoI... Every MOB that dropped anything at all was looted FAST by the melee. Been that way for a long time so, when I really want xp, I'll go find melee folks but, outside of that... I solo.

XP may be less soloing but I don't have to deal with feeling slighted because the melee are going "my inv is getting full... LOL" while I'm showing virtually nothing. Thanks but no thanks. This is also one of the reasons you hear clerics gripe about wanting to be able to solo better. Loot pig melee's in groups.

In my guild clerics and druids get the FT items way before a shaman gets one. Well, when the FT item is usable by int casters too they have competition from ench, wiy and mages. On the other hand necros / shaman have a bonus on high HP items.

In this case we have both. But the FT will wight more then 13sta and 100HP.

Ever notice that druids always complain...which is why you guys honestly have such bad reps. It is always "Verant hates druids because of ...".

Seriously, though this would more than likely go to a Cleric yes, however I would think that a shaman or a druid has just an equally good of a chance to get it after that. The high hps and stamina are prob. a bit better for the shaman though.
