On Magelo these have 4 Wis on them as well. I believe every piece of the Hurricane set has the same mod for both Wis and Int on each piece. As in Bracers have 4 to each Wis and Int, the BP with 10 Wis/Int, Gaunts with 8 Wis/Int... and so on.
This armor is a 3rd tier smithing set and I may be wrong but the only 3rd tier smithing set. There is a set of 1st tier armor, the Night Terror set. As for the elemental tier 4 sets, there are 4 different sets for the 4 different elemental planes. Each set has a certain theme, as one set has more HP's (Farwater, Plane of Water), and one with more Mana (Inferno, Plane of Fire). There are two that are equal in Mana/Hps (Livestone, Plane of Earth and Windessence, Plane of Wind), more or less evened out between the two other than heavy on one or the other, the only difference between the two sets that I can see, are the saves.

The Hurricane armor is nice. It only gets better as you get into the next tier. Definately a good way to entice people to work up smithing. This armor requires a 250 Jeweler and a Brewer with 156+ skill. Hope some of this info helps in some sort of way.

Better than Velious

For a bard, at least, this bracer is substantially better than any of the Velious quest armors. I would rate it pretty even with the high-level smithed bracers such as Fine Heraldic or High Elf Mithril. The Fierce Heraldic is better because of hit points. But this is an upgrade for most bards who can get it.
Odd

I'm surprised it has an Int modifier, since two of the classes are wis casters. Odd.

Two of them are also Int casters sir. :)
Ok, so bards only use mana for charm but hey, charm rocks and costs us a ton of mana considering our mana pool sucks.
For Bards, this aint too shabby.

Well then I guess it's a great item for a bard then :) I wonder how it compares to the kael/SS/thurg bracers? Yes I could look, but that'd take effort.

Compared to the cleric bracer it's 5 more mana, less wis though (wink) and less AC. I'd assume it's slightly less than the warrior equivalent too.

Have to admit, it is ok for a crafted item though.
