ER help bards?

Does Extended Range help AOE Bard songs?
RE: ER help bards?

The only focus effect that helps bards is Flowing Thought, the rest of them don't effect them at all whatsoever. No ER, no improved healing, nada. None of these things effect bard songs.

In a clerics eys

As a cleric, this is solid gold. Being able to hit a tank with a heal while dodging AEO on a raid, or being able to get close enough to the dot'd puller feigning death to heal without drawing aggro. Hitting that caster that is running in circles pray aggro will get taken off him. The MT running around after a wizzy over nukes, leaving your chain healing out of range.
Rogue item? nope, leather/cloth caster, maybe, but for a cleric, this is awesome.

It's good for any healer for AoE avoidance, but, obviously, it's a must for clerics being the main healer. However, shamans and druids also get a good patch heal which would benefit from this.

And, as someone else has said below, it's also good for single pulls, particularly of casting mobs. As a shaman, I sit at max (extended) range and root, slow, dot, root, dot..... and they can do nothing.

Extremely useful for charming and raids
# Sep 08 2003 at 7:51 PM Rating: Excellent
Extended range IV is very usefull for avoiding AoE in raids (at least where you can back up far enough). I can sit on a horse or stand just out of AoE range and just chain nuke the named mobs without being a drain on the cleric mana. Undisturbed like this I can do about 50K dmg from a full bar of mana, or 100k if I gather mana ( and if the mob lives long enough to do all the nuking, it's a bit slower when you're just a chanter).
I also find it very helpful in charming and kite nuking single mobs because I can easily get off a charm or nuke before the mob reaches me and start running again(in the case of nuking).
In my experience Extended range IV is much more usefull than it first appears.

Someone has 6 of them for 4k each on saryrn. I'd say worth it except I'd have to give up a ft1 eye of the owlbear mother.

#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 21 2003 at 8:53 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) How does the graphics look when you equip it in primary? A cleric equipping this with a shield might look like a warrior / pally then.

I am not sure why people are so angry at those in the bazaar trying to make money. Is this worth 35k? I don't think so, so I am not going to pay 35k for it. However, if these guys have one when the market is very low in supply, they might as well start their prices high to see if anyone DOES think it's worth that much. The chances are,... someone will, and that person will probably end up getting at least 20k for it while the item is new. That's not being an idiot; that's being smart. If anything, the person paying 35k for such an item could be seen as idiotic, but believe me, if someone on the street offered me 5000 dollars for my shoes, I think I'd be a fool not to take him up on that offer. :)

these take about 1-2k to make, an u are telling me that its worth 20k at least... pfft i'd pass an just go on with out it =\

btw its not like these have impressive stats, they are actually quiet lacking, 10dex is nice an 30hp is decent , but it doesn't justify their price being so highand if u think 20k is worth for a ER4 then i will just have to pass an put 20k in pottery an then make these an sell em. I mean be real =P and THE ONLY reason these became worth anything was for us casters who just looooooovvveee to solo. With ER4 an AH4 and AE4 nothing will be resisted an everything will be greavy exp =).

I saw this for 10kpp in the bazaar yesterday. That price seemed a bit high to me for this item. /shrug

Ceramic skull of decay (Affliction Haste 4) goes for about 5-6kpp and the effect is more useful IMO.

I'm no expert, but

Seems like it would be a semi-useful item for a cleric trying to avoid AOE spells.
