edit: magnification of vision does not affect maximum casting range. Tested with druid and 'mask of the stalker' on 17 Feb 03. So much for my theory...

#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 05 2001 at 1:07 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) blah nice stats, useless crappie effect. Also narandi is indeed in GD!!! not ew. That is where the 9th and 10th ring are hold, GD!!!

Fairly certain this drops off Narandi the Wretched, the last giant of the 10th ring war. So would be Great Divide not eastern wastes.

ok for all of you who were curious, this is given as a gift of the heroes from the heroes of the coldain ring war (10th coldain ring). It does not drop off narandi, but after narandi is killed if the appropriate hero is still alive, you will turn in narandi's head to each of them, recieving a different gift from each hero. Ringwar is a fairly fun event, and gives a great ring. I hop this helps.

#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 04 2001 at 6:39 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) personally i really like the idea of this! effect sucks but i cannot find a single range slot for my monk... 2 weight isn't really THAT bad, but not great, i can deal with it considernig that there are barely any range slots for monks, i like it! too bad its prolly a ***** to get =(

If your monk needs a range item, try to find a friendly 35+ mage who will summon you a Shard of the Core. It weighs nothing, adds an absurd amount of resist to cold and I think disease, and gives you ultravision. Once you log its gone, but usually mage's have been happy to help me out a little with this dandy range slot item.

Try the Kerran Toy quest for a monk range item...its not too great (3ac 2sta 0.1wt), but better than nothing, least till you can afford an Idol of the Thorned =p Details at

#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 04 2001 at 6:01 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) IMO, as a shaman, this effect sucks.. The only time I ever used this spell was when I got it, to check it out. When I realized it was so pointless, I put it back on page 50 of the spellbook along with Strengthen and Dexerous Aura.. Just my opinion, though, would still go nice in my warrior's range slot :P

Btw ... would think this was part of the Ring Quest mostly likely the last IE 10th. Plus, I believe Narandi is one of the last mob's needed to be killed during that fight.

Anybody tell me what the effect does? I'd appreciate it, also any info on the mob would be good too.
