Pretty sure these are a drop off the crusaders you can see wandering in the lower regions of skyshrine if you ever make it that way... personally, I made that mistake once, and had to get my corpse summoned, it sucked. lvl 70 Wurm >> lvl 62 (at the time) shaman. End of story.
Did however manage to help kill a few, these are nice boots, pretty sure were one of the drops, which, of course, I lost on, LOL. Anyways, As far as classes go, it is a wierd selection, but what's funny is no clerics/pallies/sk's, but originally shaman's were plate, rogues never were... /boggle vi..
(yes shamans were plate, look at original Totemic quests, they're kinda wierd in that aspect)
Anyways, good luck in the hunt... gonna go try and win me a pair of these sometime, just hard since SS not hunted like it used to be.
I saw "Boots of the Savage" and thought, "ALLRIGHT!! Verant finally decided to give Beastlords some planar ARMOR..." And then the page loaded. So without tradeskills, Beastlords still have no useful planar armor. Anthemion is, at least to me, worth little more than the trade-in value at the trainer in PoK. /sigh.
Ok, now that my rant is done... Pretty nice boots for those classes that can wear them. Hard to find feet slot items with any decent WIS on them, so these are definitely a plus for the Shaman class... Truthfully, I'm confused as to why Paladins, SK's and Rangers can't use these, seeing as how Warriors can, and the other chain classes can. Strange... /ponder Verant.
There's beastlord armor in Plane of Fear, last time we raided there, we only had 1 bst with us, and he cleaned up =P Don't remember what dropped it though
I was loan beastlord on a fear raid, and was able to loot the planar jerkin piece. AC 11 and decent stats:0 Its all a balancing issue, Drop AC to raise stats, or Raise AC and drop stats:0 I"m still wondering if I should go back to my Treeweave at level 52:0
Interesting. Rog and Shaman useable, but not Ranger wearable.
I think thats pretty retarded, Rangers have very few good boots availeable to them, especially with the raw hitpoints as these have (6 sta + 45hp = 6* 4.2 + 45 = rougly 70hp for a Ranger with no Natural Durability)
By comparison, the Ranger Skyshrine Quested boots are only 21 ac 4 str/sta/dex 20hp.
I don't know how many times my warrior has seen a great weapon or piece of armor that he would love to have, only to be shot down that it is ranger only. And a lot of stuff we can get rangers can roll on as well so I am happy to see this.
Give my pally dual wield and you can have my 28/30 massive dragonclaw shard. Pallies and SKs get better ratios on one handers due to our lack of dual wielding. we have to do with one sword what warriors try to do with two.
Actually Pallies are a Tank class. So if you mean that you need to hold aggro and take hits then your Pally can easily do that (better than my Warrior in most cases) without Duel-Wield.
