There is no Req/Rec level on any ornate gear, u just have to be 46 cause Bor is in PoT.
Actually you have to be level 55 to obtain ornate armor...Bor Warhammer will not talk to you or give you your class specific emblem until you are level 55...however all effect and Clicky cast will work at 55...
Actually, while its unlikely to happen, if you are level 46, and have the proper flags (think behemoth and a few others) you can get bor to give you the stuff.

Actually even if you have the flags you must still wait until 55. I had the flags for all tier 1 and 2 before 55 and had to wait until 55 before he would give me the paly symbol.
yes u r right ... if you have either Flag to PoV/PoS or ur lvl req of 55 to enter those zones he will talk to u (since molds and req items for these ornates drop in those zones)

I have the Jaylia BP on my twink 65 Paladin and it is nice, I'm curing myself and groupmates during battle (cast 10 sec 64 stun, target then cure). Has more ac than Vindi. Don't get me wrong Vindi BP is nice but I carry it around only for resists if I ever need it.

There are thousands of EQ players that 2-box, and it becomes very easy to twink your alts if you have two (or more) level 65 players at your fingertips. I would guess that at least 3 out of 4 high level players 2-box regularly.
After 5 years, people are leaving this game in record numbers - giving away their accounts to friends and guildmates. Not too long ago, I had access to five accounts due to friends leaving EQ, giving me access to nine level 65 characters (two of which are in PoTime).
After so many years of playing one class, the only way to extract any fun from this game is to try playing another class. So you reach into the bank and twink your alt with the best bazaar gear you can afford and jump into the different class without having to spend ages equiping it.
Yes, this is what the game has come to.

Casting time is 6.0 according to Magelo.
If i am wrong let me know, shield of words increase ac by 30. So Hot BP for pally would then be better with SOW. 81 AC is definetly better than 57. DOH

First off, Sowords could be casted with HoT bp and get 80 ac, but you could have sowords casted on ya with THIS bp and get 87 ac. Not to mention the stats on this BP are much better with all the resists. So this bp is a bit better then the HoT bp. However, may not be quite as attainable.

Well, if you have this BP you are likely to hunt in places where yougroup with a Cleric, and even if you don't you can usually make a donation and get Virtue. Even if you can't get virtue and have to buff yourself then you can just spend the mana and cast SoW on yourself, after all you ar enot going to get hold of this armour unless you are 60+, or getting major twinked out by some larger guild.
So this BP is by far better than the HOT one as 1) it has more AC 2) it has more HP and 3) it has a very nifty spell effect compared to the HOT one, you only need to cast SoW every now and then so can easily sit down, mem SoW and cast it, CT you will use all the time if in zones where you are diseased/poisoned or slowed and it even remove Tash/Malo, so this BP saves you a spell slot.

Also at level 65 Paladins get Bulwraith of Faith, so the effect on the ToV breastplate becomes outdated.

Ok .. now I see the difference. Thanks for the clarification. No need to flame with the idiot remarks though. The only idiots are the ones who are so low on self esteem that they have to put others down in order to make themselves feel worthy. You may call me ignorant, since I was unaware of the 2 types of quest armor, However an idiot I am not. Thank you and have a nice day =)

Sure the Bard one isn't the ELEMENTAL BP? There is a huge difference between Ornate and Elemental.

I dont, and probably never will agree with the fact that any BP is inferior to the Vindi, just because it has 4 less stamina on it when it has other good stats. This has more AC and Mana, which does matter, though less resists, but not bad.. Those will make more of a difference then 4sta worth in hp and abit more resists, just my opinion

I think Vindi would be prefered in PvP servers whereas this would be prefered on blue servers. Just a thought

Vindi bp is easier to get, and also this isn't the best bp out there for paladins. See Greater Platemail of Shadow or something like that from VT. Also see Heavy Yttrium Chestplate.
