I just go this mace yesterday after completing the 1st HoH trial (Killing Rydda'Dar). Our raid force was about 60 lvl 65 well equipped guild players. We were there to backflag the slackers (like me). The fight was clean and quick. RDs melee damage is outstanding, but with lots of spot healing a solid tank and chain CHs he is a nice quick kill even without much focus.

I am a 65 BST and am max hitting now for 126 in the primary hand.
This is a very nice upgrade from the Waning Light Katar (which maxed hit for 108) despite the loss of attack using 1hb instead of H2H.

In case a 65 Beasty is wondering how to figure max damage in the primary slot the forumla is as follows.
Damage times 6 plus bonus (give or take 1 or 2)
The mace has a damage of 19 so
19 * 6 = 114 114 + 13 = 127
and the actual max is 128

Anyway, I am extremely happy to have gotten this item and am anxious to go bludgen green cons with it for sick pleasure =)

I got this last night and its a nice upgrade for me from my dirty old WLK. Thrown a nice cheap 125proc on it and now only a couple more adv's to get my Slave's Hidden Orb to finally get rid of my epic. Once both those are done this will be a nice off hand weapon.

Anyways the attack loss you take on equipping this is minute. I'm taking a loss of 17 attack so I'm sitting around 1712 instead of 1729. This will do well for me untill I do last 2 mobs for elementals and I get my Battle Fists.

The delay on this is 22. I have sent in a correction with a picture. Hopefully it will be corrected soon.

Well, been a week and still no update. Kinda throws off the upgrade search when looking for ratio weapons.

1) If my STA is maxxed, Milerin, why would I want a weapon with more of it? My BST can self-buff, after all, unlike a Monk.

2) It's not a lame 1HB. As a pre-elemental guild, this weapon is very nice. And since you are using a copper hammer of striking in your offhand at the time of this post (which, of course, *doesn't* have stamina), you have no cause to whine about this weapon's effectiveness anyway :)

This item is great for either monk or beastlord. In a raid, it should probably go to the beastlord first, and then to a monk. But it is still an awesome item for eithe class none the less, just a bst would profit off it more. I, being an monk, would surely want one of these, but if there were a beastlord in the group or raid it would be his before mine.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 21 2003 at 12:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Umm WHY should it go to a beastlord first? The uber mana and wis? I guess by that rational Fangs of Vyz'Dra should go to a beastlord first too?

This item almost ALWAYS will go to a monk.

Cheesy is right. At least that'll almost always be the case in my guild. Beastlord 1 HB skill caps at 225. 25 points difference in skill cap between this and our H2H skill doesn't seem like much, but at level 65, it makes a large difference to overall DPS.
So... I almost always pass on the 1 HB weapons so we can get max DPS out of our monks, and out of the weapons themselves. Generally speaking, I am first in line for that ewber H2H weapon I've been waiting for when it finally drops. It all works out.
Now, when that Iron Bound Staff finally drops, the monks are gonna have to wrestle me for it. :p

Funny, but this slips right into a Secondary Slot, which does not effect a Beastlords Attack rating, as long as your primary is H2H.

And yes, my Beastlord has no need for the 40% haste of the Epic, as he has a 41% haste belt.

Yes, the Secondary Epic Claw DOES have an additional built-in attack modifier, but the damage this wep does far outstrips any gain from that small amount of attack rating, IMO.

All in all, a nice item to obtain for Beast or Monk.

Man, I hate to tell you this, but the attack you see on your screen is your main hand atk only. Any bst will miss more with a 1hb, 2hb, or a piercer than they would with a hth weapon, regardless of whether or not it's in the main or offhand.

offhand weapon dps isnt that high to start with relatively and if the ratio is sufficient, the lower skill cap doesnt matter. this weapon is sufficiently ratio'd that even for a beast it will perform extremely well in the offhand.

#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 06 2002 at 9:48 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hey, isn't this the part where monks start whining about how a weapon with such good ratio shouldn't go to such and such of class?... oh wait.. nm, it's monk usable, now maybe they'll shut up.
Are you retarded?
# Nov 30 2002 at 6:45 PM Rating: Default
How can a name of an item dictate who it will go to? Stop posting crap about 'how good' an item is and start posting about 'what drops it' and how hard the damned thing is.
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 21 2003 at 3:03 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Dude, it's called Grandmaster's Mace...kinda definitive. And seeing how its Monk/Bst only, it will go to a grandmaster, shut ya stupid face newb, and make me some truffles. Vorak is a genius....
RE: Are you retarded?
# Mar 21 2003 at 8:13 PM Rating: Default
hmm NO it will go to whoever has the most dkps, so shut YOUR face noob
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 28 2002 at 12:49 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This could be a first for me, so please fogive me. I never complain about the "this should be monk" crap. People like that **** me off. HOWEVER, this time I feel I need to make an exception. With a name like "Grandmasters Mace" wouldn't one think Monk only? Last I checked, Beastlords dont get the title of "Grandmaster". Just a thought.

It's because Beastlords are a Monk hybrid, other half being Shaman. I would suppose it's because Beastlords had to learn their combat styles from someplace, so it's probably a combination of some training from Monk Grandmasters & some from watching creatures in the wild (such as Shaolin Monks are historically known for doing).
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 27 2002 at 5:00 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i'm thinking i need to get another level or two and head over there

Look at the pick on it, the guild, it's not a matter of heading over there. Get in a strong guild first.

Afterlife aren't the only ones with it, they are just the ones who's web administrators have it together the best to have time to send in their uber lewtz, i don't believe this is an item requiring quit as uber a guild as afterlife to complete, but that is after casual chat with peeps on the nameless.
