Just saw this in bazaar for 304k? No Mana pres, no Flowing thought, no improved healing...my chestplate from PoH has more wisdom. What is the big deal about this?
Stats are excellent. I love the HP, AC, and Mana. The resists..also excellent. BoR..yeah I use it....why is it 300k and the Flowing though bracers are only 45k?
this post was made long ago, when it was still a raid to get. Now it's soloable/duoable.

Well, no required level on the actual BP. However, you ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, WILL NOT be able to get this below level 46. Because the no drop forge and emblem come from PoTranquility, which requires level 46 to enter.
In addition, its UNLIKELY that you will be getting this prior to level 55. The reuirements to do the quest are either 1) level 55, or 2) a whole bunch of PoP flags (forget which specifically). So, most likely, to get this, you'll be 55+, and even so, there are more level 65's who DO NOT have this, than there are who do.
Personally, I got almost all the ornate, but chose the LDON Royal Attendant Breastplate of Sand, rather than this. More mana, more hp, more AC, about the same overall saves and wis, PLUS the LDON one has 3 augment slots, so can add a mana regen (FT) 2 aug, plus a +10wis, +10sta aug, and one other.
Well you have to be level 55 I believe to do turn ins, or I believe certain amount of flagging also allows you to do turn ins. But otherwise your correct about the other 2.
colors are the same regardless of race. It's purely attached to the item. According to Lucy, it's a darkish purple: http://lucy.fnord.net/item.html?id=15770 I suspect that it's actually purple tinted, but that you're seeing it as gray because of graphics settings (try standing in a well lit area, equipping a light source, and/or turning up your gamma).
That or perhaps (not to poke fun but mebbe perhaps you forgot by accident) that you might have had your color tinted and just haven't seen the actual BP color untinted upon your body?

Nah, the other guy was right. Playing a human, the lighting often makes me see colors as more muted than other do. In bright light, or with gamma jacked way up, it was purplish, although it was a really muted purple, not like the PoH cleric armor kind of purple.
Didn't look real good with the LDON bp, so I dyed the whole mess.
