Better late than never, but all the PoP Ornate Armor clickies for all classes are usable at 55 when you are able to do the quest.
Mana saver.

I'm slightly amused how people argue over the use of the actual haste on the item. "OH NOS! it does stack w/ this!!!!11!!one!!!1" or "omgz it's teh most ubar cybar1337 clicker ever"

Fact is folks: when you are the only effing haster in the dang group and you got 4-5 melees to keep hasted/buffed cuz they keep whining.....you can just click haste them....

Now doesn't that make a lot of sense? yes, i've always hated dropping 1k mana for a haste round that's very short. now i can do it free.

and before you go into the "omg wtf is a bst doing in a 65+ group as the only haster/buffer/slower?!?!" i say this: Get to the point where your bst is uber enough to do this and then you'll agree w/ me that it's nice to have that extra mana to spend taking it to the mob's face and either holding aggro/owning it.

feel free to flame away, this is just how i play and so do most of the end-game bsts i play with do.

I agree 100%. Even as a 70 beast this tunic has saved me tons of times with only just SD for mana regen and I'm the one doing the "Fake Shammy Buff Shuffle". :) When you're slowing, hasting, buffing and having the MT bellow for Fero every 9 minutes I'm glad I have this baby in inventory. :)
Haste stacking
# Apr 20 2005 at 12:33 PM Rating: Default
Haste only stacks
1 Item
1 Spell or Song (Monk haste, and Bard epic PROC are the exception)

Check out http://cloud.prohosting.com/~talone/HasteData.htm kinda only but the best explaination and gallery of haste
Re: stacking haste
# Mar 08 2005 at 12:55 AM Rating: Excellent
Well then it's time to rethink. The only hastes that stack are the highest level of worn item haste and the highest level of spell haste. I have no idea what you think "clicky" is since you have listed worn / spell / song as other sources of haste and those are the only 3 things that can possibly affect your haste from an item.

The only other stackable haste is version 3 haste that comes with some songs, otherwise it is only overriding hastes given from other sources wether the spells stack or not. And while we are at it, the effect from the Eyepatch of Plunder does not stack with other haste spell cast upon you, it does stay on when a Vallon's is on you but since the eyepatch haste only has the haste as an effect it is completely worthless buff once VQ is on.

And one more thing for you monks. The effect of epic 1 is not a song with v3 haste, it is a buff spell with an 18 second timer. If you have other spells with haste in the epic effect will not stack with its haste and this includes the eyepatch of plunder. However the other stats given from the epic effect will stack up if it is able to stick on you with your current higher haste spell up and the extra str and ac does help.

And finally for all the paladins, your lvl 49 self haste spell is, again, a regular haste spell. Eyepatch will not stack because Captain Nalot's Quickening, from the eyepatch, is a 20% haste spell while Valor of Marr is a 25% haste spell.

The ornate effect miraculous visions is a 30% haste spell and is on a lot of oranate melee gloves and while that is an upgrade to the speed of self buffing hastes for melee it is no different stacking wise. Hope all this will prevent the stupid opinions that get passed around regarding haste but I seriously doubt people who do pass these rumors around even know how to read this far in the post...

I know for a fact that haste stacks as follows:

1 clicky
1 worn
1 spell
1 song

And I know for a fact that you're wrong. :)

Just because it shows them stacking doesn't mean the haste is. For instance, celerity and Vallon's Quickening do not overwrite each other yet their hastes do not stack.
Haste vs Haste
# Dec 27 2004 at 5:59 AM Rating: Decent
Clicky haste is good...it is why I just did the Eyepatch of Plunder..not too hard and at least it is 20% haste. Not the greatest, but better than nothing, and I still have 80k in the bank. As far as the regen of the fungi...try looking into Riwwi, there is an awsome BP in there called the Baleful Blood Soaked something or another, has +15 Regen and is NODROP. I have spent many many hours in there and yet to see one drop myself, but have been told that the drop is uncommon. Anyhow that is just my 2 cp's. I have spent so much time investigating gear vs gear and me personally I would not buy the Ornate, at least not for the prices they are asking for in the Bazaar, now if I won the roll on a dropped pattern that is a different story as most would agree. I will stick with my Eyepatch of Plunder

nice enough stats with a reasonable clicky effect. however most people wont see it drop they will just buy it in bazaar. this being the case bsts do have another option.

some people wont like them but consider a fungi patch vest. at current prices on 7th hammer this bp is twice as much as a fungi.

yes i kow fungi's stats are god awful but your average fight soloing at 65 is going to last longer than a minute, probably closer to 2 mins. fungi will regen you more hp's than this bp can give you in pure stats.

yes i have a 65 bst with 413 aa's bla bla. yes he has ok gear including a cursed bp from ssra i just use for the clicky buff. i have tested both the cursed bp (similar in stats to this) and the fungi over many many fights to find out which is more efficient when soloing. i found that the fungi vest worked out better as i saved more mana in heals than i gained in benefits from the extra stats on the cursed bp. with the fungi i cant remember the last time i needed to sit and med during normal soloing xp.

not to mention btw that backing off and switching bp's during a fight for a 10 sec cast is a pain. true the actual spell isnt much less for the cast time but every bit counts.

ok so in my experience here is a short summary of whether or not to get this bp.

lvls 55-59 if you have the cash its nice as you get a haste spell and if you really have the money get one and a fungi and just use this for a clicky haste.

lvls 60-62 use a fungi and only get one if you have lots of cash as you will only get a little extra haste, save a bit of mana and free up a spell slot.

lvl63+ use a fungi and get one if you have nothing else to spend money on. mana saved and free spell slot is ok but 10 sec cast is a long time. you would have to decide if the cost of the bp is worth it. for me it wasnt but each to their own.

fungi is no use really on raids but there are a crap load cheaper bp's with very close stats to the ornate one you can get for raids and you wouldnt be using clicky on a raid anyway (i would hope)

i sure many people will say that having a fungi is bloody stupid but having tested it i would go with the fungi over this anytime, at least until you get a elemental bp or similar.

for general use a fungi is better. i consider this just a clicky haste item that it wasnt worth my time getting.

The way I understand haste (and I could be wrong), no, they don't stack. One spell, one item and one song per person will stack. So you could have haste spell from the tunic and a haste item, your warder could have haste from the legs and a Muzzle of Mardu and you both could get haste if you were grouped with a bard.
RE: haste
# Dec 14 2004 at 10:38 AM Rating: Default
This won't stack... No haste I've seen below Speed of Vallon stacks with the pet haste.

None of the hastes we cast stack, Enchanter epic haste doesn't stack, but SoV does.

And god is the 62 pet a demon with SoV+Sha's. It rocks hard. :)
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 04 2004 at 9:51 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I am a BL with 251 aa's, I like my imortal blood tunic that hasa vengence IIIaug 28ac +75hp and mana and some more stats. I think I am going to get rid of the vengence aug and slap a regen V aug on it, along with a +40hp aug, and for the slot I havent made up my mind yet. which would make it 28ac and 125hp...ornate sux big whoop how often is a bst that would be wearing this thing hasting someone.... or a whole party... exactly its crap, go Ldon Tunic until you get something worth all they dkp you're saving. I would rather have regen when I am farming more so than free haste... LAME

Somewhat of a dissenting opinion here.

We can certainly get better or equal AC in easier-to-obtain BPs. Celerity isn't the be-all and end-all of haste.

But some of us created Beastlords for the independence of exploring with just a friend or two, and the ability to do without some other classes if we needed. An item that let's me cast my level 63 haste spell helps with that for quuite a good while. Without this, our first haste is at 60; with it it's at 55.

My BST is wearing Rumblecrush's BP now, with nearly the same stats but not the effect. It's most likely that I'll equip him with this one at 55 so he can maintain his independence, and I can just go goof with RL friends' ranger and a druid at the same level.

The reason it isn't crap is because a lot of people (like me) hate LDON adventures and we could never save up for said augs.

Targeted
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 23 2003 at 7:06 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Great effect, nice hp, fair stats - BUT the same AC as a Treeweave. Close, but no cigar.
RE: AC
# Sep 04 2003 at 11:38 AM Rating: Decent
as a Beastlord wearing Leather your never going to get high AC.
Even IF you do as a Leather wearer get say 1400AC or so which would be very good for a Beastlord you still are NOT going to mitigate damage on the same scale as a Plate class anyway.

We "Avoid" damage.
Thats what we do best, so really be great if the AGI was higher than +8.

While i dont expect high AC on leather armor.
I do expect at least some armor short of Dumuls (Elemental Planes) thats worth a damn.
And we have very little armor as a Beastlord thats decent til you get into the Elemental planes.
Thats where we need a bone
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 06 2003 at 11:59 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Good point, but I was making a comparison in AC to a 350pp bazaar bought BP. You'll note the Druid's BP has the same AC also.
RE: AC
# Nov 20 2003 at 10:06 AM Rating: Excellent
I love that it has the same 100hp as a treeweave does to. Wait! A treeweave has no hp or mana or resists or free clickable haste or......

I swear some folks would ***** if they got the winning lottery numbers.
Sit Aggro
# Jul 13 2003 at 4:34 PM Rating: Default
May not seem like its necessary, but there are times when all the Ench are busy mezzing or DEAD. Try sitting to mem a spell with 5 mobs around ( no Ench / Sham ) alive to cast haste on the melee screaming for it. If you can't sit to give anyone haste ( Note: 8 slots to mem spells ) you'll most likely take unecessary damage. Get this item if you can, it just might save a group / raid from wiping.
RE: Sit Aggro
# Nov 30 2003 at 12:44 PM Rating: Decent
Enchanters have clicky haste on their epic (if they have it). If the group is getting bombed to the point that you can't sit for 1 second (using the right clicky spell menus), then you're probably not going to spend the time standing there waiting 10 seconds each haste click. If the chanter is dead, a beastlord that has the means to get this pattern is probably going to off tank in such a situation. As a 65 chanter and 65 beastlord, I simply say suck it and fight without haste until the fight is under control.
That aside, this is a fine sweater for a beastlord. Stats are decent, good resists, clicky is decent when soloing or grouping without a bard/chanter/shammy, and the +100 hp's always help. Not sure about other servers, but on bristlebane this goes for about 235 - 250k. In my opinion, that's far too steep to upgrade from something like a psc. So in the meantime, I'll continue to buy stupid stuff like the 100k drogmors/horses for all my toons.

#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 14 2003 at 12:42 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) There's no need to have celerity on this gear. I never have to cast it 90% of the time in exp groups and absolutely never on raids. Having celerity on this very rare piece is sort of hard to justify.
RE: Celerity is not needed
# Sep 04 2003 at 11:25 AM Rating: Excellent
according to you (pvtflood) ANY clicky or focus short of 96% Rez & FT5+ is useless on any item.

I have this Tunic, love it...use the Celerity all the time when im soloing or in a group without an Enchanter or even during a raid and i lose Speed and enchanters are busy or dead i can simply click and im GTG..
Its always there when i need it, and never have to take up a precious spell slot.

How about soloing? I still solo a lot at lvl 62 and would love to have clicky haste especially since my haste buff runs out faster than any of the others. Useful in raids too fo fighting anything that likes to dispell.

Depends on the cast time. If its reasonably quick, then this is a great effect. I cant even tell you how many times Ive been hunting on my own or been at a raid where no haste is available at that given moment (like in the middle of a fight) and had to cast it on myself. Thankfully I have a horse. Sitting down to mem it is suicide. With this, you can cast it without memming. I would just recommend holding on to your kunark/velious BP (if you have one, if not, try to buy one) for the Bramblecoat buff and wearing this.
