These would still be useful if it wasn't for the fact Clerics get that hammer 1 level before they can get these. I mean enchanters get Kei on there legs and clerics get an effect that can be just as easily cast for little mana.
I'm hoping someone can give me some insight. I just got my Greaves of Vengeful Fury. They differ a bit that shown above. The effect listed is Unswerving Hammer of Faith (Must Equip. Casting Time 4.0).
When I try to do the cast, it gives no hint as to what I must equip with. Is there anyone out there who can give me some idea of what I need?
after the patch you don't have to have any flags you only have to be lvl 55 and have the mold, the sheets, the tanaan hammer, and 500 pp and you can wear all ornate armor.
I'm not trying to argue with you Xaanru, but have you confirmed that you have to be lvl 55 to make the combine for ornate armor? I assumed that you could do the combine at lvl 46 (min level to get into Plane of Tranquility). If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong.
Technically you don't need any flags to make ornate armor. You could purchase the mold as well as the other items. I was just wondering if the Dwarf NPC that gives the Cleric Emblem and the Mystical Furnace of Ro would give them to someone below level 55. Or if when you hit combine a message would come up saying that you are not high enough.
Just curious really. Not trying to flame or anything.
Actually that was my question in so many words. Thank you for clarifying the issue.
However unless you have actually tested the flag issue, I have disagree that flags are not part of the ornate armor process. Unless I am unaware of such a quest, none of the quest's in the game actually require flags. Yes you have to be flagged for that zone to get the NO DROP item, but being flagged has never been part of the quest itself. You merely need access to the zone to get the item. So in the case of ornate, flags are not required just the minimum level.
Although I may be absolutely wrong on this and flags are actually required for certain quests including ornate armor. But if you have tested the flag issue then I humbly withdraw my argument.
Ok, ORIGINALLY, the ONLY WAY you could get Bor Wharhammer to talk to you, was to be flagged for Tier 3.
However, once they changed the Tier 2 and 3 zones, so that you could get in based on levels, they also changed the quest.
I guess it didn't seem fair that you could loot the molds, and not get the quest to make the armor.
When they changed the quest, they ADDED the ability to get the furnace and emblem at level 55 with no flags. They did NOT remove the ability to get them with tier 3 pop flags. I do know a monk alternate, of a time flagged player, who got his flags through tier 3 below 55, and has a couple pieces of ornate armor.
500pp PER piece. You have to pay the guy for the emblem and forge for EACH piece. So all ornate would cost 4k in emblems (bp, legs, boots, vabs, 2 bracer, helm, gaunts).
According to the spell data, the cast time is 2.50 seconds.
Usually with items though, the clicky spells, unless insta-click, take a lot longer than the same spell cast from the spell book.
Take the Donal's Chestplate of Mourning for example. It takes 10.00 seconds to cast Complete Heal from your spell book, but takes 30.00 seconds to cast it from the chestplate.
We'll know for sure when an updated graphic is posted! =)
Recently acquired these. A slight upgrade over Kael. More resists and more mana. Slight reduction in hp, but for the amount I'm getting hit, it's not mattering much.
On an erudite cleric, they seem a more pale shade of ... you guessed it. Purple. Can't get away from that damned shade :(
Kind of a dusty purple for frogs. But then you must remember that purple has long been associated with the clergy. It is considered the most pious of colors in many religions.
