Yes level 55 is the only thing you need to be to complete ornate quest. Just did it with my 56 warrior and my 55 cleric. No problems here

Posted: Jan 01 2004 at 6:00 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Bor will not give you the quest for Ornate at level 55. You have to be at least 60 and even then it depends on how many flags you have. At level 65 you can do it with no flags, but the closer you are to 60, the more flags you need.
The above post is completely, utterly wrong.
My cleric had almost a full set of ornate, before level 60, without a single PoP flag.
The requirement for doing the ornate quest is EITHER level 55 OR the same flags that the quest required before they opened the tier 2 and 3 planes.
Perhaps you are thinking of the ELEMENTAL quest armor??

I do not think so...
I made the ornate leather quests with my level 55 bst without any flags, why should this be different? That would not make sense!

Untrue. 55 Monk did quests with no flags....

Any way to customize helm so it has a look like other helms any one know of a turn in or quest ?

The ONLY requirement to make this helm is to be lvl 55. You acquire the mold from various zones (drop) or buy 1 in bazaar. Follow the instructions on the quest info (you need no smithing skill). The helm has NO Graphis and it is SEE INVIS and ULTRAVISION.

You only have to be lvl 55 for the turn ins no flags.
I just made one of these helms and the effect on mine is not Faerune ... it is Plainsight (UV, See Invis)
Also, it has no graphic, even though the color for it in the Dye list is 50, 50, 50 (grey)

Does anyone know if this now has an effect to it? like truesight or ultra-vision?

Faerune is the effect on the Elemental Helm, not the Ornate. the ornate helm only grants UV and See Invis, while the Elemental grants Enduring Breath as well.
You are wrong, the effect is plainsight: UV and See invis. I know because i have one.

You can also not do the quest for the ornate armor until you are flagged for BoT.

Actually the link you have shown is for the cleric elemental armour which should not be confused with ornate armour.
I'm 99% sure that these items are recommended level 60 and not required level 60

ALL!!!!! Ornate armor quests from PoTranquility can be done by level 55 PCs. Don't post unless you know for sure. Doh!!
