the cool think about this bp is shamans cannot knock you buff of like they can with ssra bp, and scence shamans dont give AC, i wouldnt want them to
stacking

this does not stack with heart of the void clicky /cry

Bought today and i love it, it kicks butt with the royal ldon bp, well atleast from a warriors perspective :)

It has more of everything exept in AC where it is -6, the klicky effect is really good to, im sure i will use this for a long time before i get a chance to upgrade it, since im not in a big raidin guild.
Ornate ''vs'' Royal Attendant
# Aug 01 2004 at 12:28 PM Rating: Good
This is all in the eyes of a warrior so no flaming about non tank important stuff.

ok guys here is the breakdown of the 2 sets

Ornate // Royal Attendant
AC =298 // 314
STR = 49 // 34
DEX = 34 // 0
STA = 58 // 46
AG = 26 // 31
MAG = 27 // 29
HP =530 // 625
END = 0 // 570
Slot 7 = 8 // 0
Slot 1 = 0 // 8
slot 2 = 0 // 8
slot 3 = 0 // 8

On one hand:
The bonus to the ornate gear is its straight attack bonuses , and some shammy spell like effects.

The main bonus to the royal gear is it's huge amount of aug slots that are availiable for you to customize.

On the other hand:
Ornate gear is way expensive until you can find a way to start making 10K at a pop and if you have a shammy around, the effects become mute.

Royal gear will take, time and lots of it. If you are level 65 doing only hards you get 105 adv points from each Ldon, so for all 8 peices it will cost you a total of 11,600 thats 111 Ldons wich is (averaging 70 minutes per try and not counting fails = 130 hours) not counting the time it would take to buy the good augs.

So to sum it all up:
If your rich buy the ornate, if your bored earn the royal attendant.

Yes their are other stats with the gears , but you can look up the rest :/

One very important item to note that the RA does not add any Dex to your stats. WAR's NEED Dex more than anything since it is key in determining how often you hit.
Also Ornate adds 936 Hp total if you add the STA in, (58*7+530 at 63) with the RA in at 947 HP total. 34 extra dex would be HARD to come by in that regard. Dependingon what you can afford, depends on what you wear. As an effective Tank, the extra STR and Dex makes the ornate worth it. The 11 HP is not a factor.
RE: Ornate ''vs'' Royal Attendant
# Aug 29 2005 at 6:35 PM Rating: Default
Um, no. Dex has nothing to do with 'how often you hit' - That's all determined by ATK and that's determined by your skill, and soem other stats.

Dex is only good for getting skill ups - or if you're a ranger (where Dex is substituted for STR in the ATK formula)

RE: Ornate ''vs'' Royal Attendant
# Dec 24 2004 at 2:17 PM Rating: Decent
With OoW expansion, it is quite easy to raise DEX. In regards to DEX increasing the chance to hit a target, you do not have to actually hit a target to gain aggro. Misses also count. DEX does, however, effect proc rates. You can throw some AA's in Weapon Affinity to make up for this. The short comings of a lower DEX is not enough to put Ornate gear ahead of RA gear. The shear number of augs you can add to RA gear will put it WAY ahead of ornate. And if you are doing enough LDoN's to earn the points for RA armor, you will have a butt load of junk augs to fill those slots until you earn more points for LDoN augs. The point made about the clicky buff on the BP...does Temp/VIrtue/Conviction override this? I do however like the clicky Haste on the Gauntlets. I have the Eyepatch of Plunder, which is nice, but 30% vs. 20% is a big difference.
Basically, Ornate would be a nice armor set to get, but you will quickly out grow it. The RA armor is so upgradeable that it will be useful much longer than the Ornate. (especially if you are not in a raiding guild)

Virtue stacks with this self-buff. The shaman buffs focus & 7, however, do not stack. Very handy to have if you don't have a shaman around, as a warrior that extra 300hps can save you, especially if you're tackling a mob with AE and you don't have a healer assigned to you. :)

Yes, the Takish armor does take some time to get points accumulated for, however, they do not require 11,600 points for the bp or any other of the high end armor, just 1,492 points. So, if you are able to do hard LDoNs, you can get one piece of armor in 15 wins, depending on how fast you do the LDoN will depend on how long you will take to get the armor. You can go on 50 different tower PU raids, and never win any of the ornate patterns due to the amount of plate classes rolling on them. BTW, once you have unlocked a theme, the points you earn in another theme can be used to buy itmes the theme that you have unlocked, so that you don't have to keep doing takish over and over again to get a second piece of armor.

Ornate BP
# Jan 17 2004 at 7:30 AM Rating: Default
My warrior currently wears Helanic Tundra BP, Kizrak's boots, gloves, and bracer. She took some HP drops to wear them in exchange for the vengeance 5 and miraculous visions from the gloves. She made these at 55 from drops BOUGHT in bazaar, and to date has never set foot in any of the drop zones except HoH. Oh well, more back flagging. Is a hella good warrior tho for LDoN, lol. The ornate BP, if it ever drops, will doubtless go to equip a main, so buying it means I'll have to go kill stuff. The Shield of Maelin is ok if you are without a shaman, same as the gloves are fine for haste, and the greaves are cool for Health. But lets face it, this is a good BP for the HP until you get Elemental drops. That really is about it.
RE: Ornate BP
# Jan 31 2004 at 4:37 AM Rating: Decent
You could also do the north ro LDoN and snag one of these

more AC, but a little less HP off the bat. But that can be fixed with the right augs

Does the proc stack with anything? Does it stack with everything?
RE: Question

Shield will stack with all, save for the Shaman/Beastlord Focus line of spells. HP buffs have nothing to do with it.

1st off, its not a proc 8)

Maelin will stack with everything except the Shaman line of HP buffs, and I think a BSTlord hp buff falls under that line also. For a warrior its not a bad spell to have available at a click. If you don't have a shaman in group, this will give an Xtra 300hp on top of Virtue. That boost to MR can also be pretty nice so...

Confused
# Jul 28 2003 at 6:53 PM Rating: Decent
You have to be flagged for teir 3 or just level 62 to do this? because i grouped with a 55 shaman who had 3 pieces the other day...and he wasnt in an uber guild or anything
RE: Confused
# Jul 29 2003 at 4:57 PM Rating: Decent
You used to need to be flagged for Teir 3, but as of the Jul 2003 patch, all you need is to be lev 55.
RE: Confused
# Aug 25 2003 at 10:16 AM Rating: Decent
Correction, To get into BoT (bastion of thunder), which is where the plate mold drops, you need to be lvl 62. Or unless if you do the flagging quest you can get into bot at any level. I think the plate mold also drops in plane of tactics. Also, you have to join a tower raid which is where most bp molds drop in BoT. This one for plate classes drops off in the blizzard tower. Hope this helps!
RE: Confused
# Aug 27 2003 at 11:56 AM Rating: Decent
Correction to your correction.
I believe the person you were correcting was saying that in order for the NPC to talk to you, and to be able to get the coin and forge from him, you just need to be 55.
So, if you buy the mold in the bazaar, you can do the quest for the armor at 55.
Dont actually have to go to BoT, or any of the other tier 3 zones.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 01 2003 at 4:18 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) correction to correct your correction ;) if you are going by lvl and NO flags, you must be lvl 62 to get the emblem and forge from the dorf. NOW if you do the justice trials, and do the BoT flag in PoStorms or you kill the MB in PoInnovation, then you can give him the money, so in essence the verry minnimum you can be lvl 46 and make it, if you know the right people that can get you flagged ;) so no flags you need 62, or once you get flagged for BoT or PoTactics you can make it

Correction to your correction, to the correction of the correction....

The mold is droppable, and can be purchased in the bazaar. Bor Wharhammer will give you the emblem and furnace at level 55 with NO FLAGS. So, you COULD create this at level 55, with no flags.
RE: Confused
# Jan 31 2004 at 1:45 AM Rating: Decent
Correction to your correction, which was correcting the correction made to his correction - Quiet now, let the person try and fail at level 46 and let the person wait longer than necessary to get to 62 and let the other person try to get flags below that - Simple Solution to a more than necessarily difficult problem
Tier 3 Flagging
# Jun 16 2003 at 12:15 PM Rating: Decent
I recently came into posession of the orante chain legs pattern , but when requesting the quest from bor warhammer he refuses to give them to me because he says I dont have enough experience in the planes yet. I almost layed into him cause' of it.. lol. Anyhow, what is the requirement for the quest? Do I have to be flagged for tier 3? I am flagged for tier 2, or can I just be 62 and as such be able to go to the tier3 planes? I am halfway into 61 now and expect to make 62 by the end of the week. Any suggestions or comments?

BTW, if this is a flagging issue, and since I belong to a non raiding guild, I am willing to pay to come along on a guild flagging event for tier 3 to get flagged 5kpp. I can earn my keep on the event too. Thanks.

RE: Waerable
# Dec 24 2002 at 2:16 PM Rating: Decent
Nah, it's Recommended level 60, not required, they changed the tags on all the items to show the true level at which it can be equipped, for instance all drops from CT have been changed from 'recommended level' to 'required level'.

This picture was submitted before that patch I believe, so I'm pretty sure that this is equippable before 60...although you have still got to be flagged in the plains to be able to do the quest. I don't think I can remember any warriors under 60 that are flagged.
