Now Heirloom

We'll need someone to run this through the item collector to update it since it is now Heirloom.

Essence of the Planes
# Jan 31 2007 at 6:56 AM Rating: Decent
Got good drop rate i guess, every essence dropped the first time killing each god, so i dont see how any are rare(maybe they changed drop rate). The coin purse is extremely nice to have and one of those items that everyone should want, it is THE BEST bag in the game period. And yes when you turn in the essence it gives you the FIRST item on the list, you can keep turning it in over and over and over again and cycle through the items continously if you want to try out the weapon or you just like the bag or whatever.

The drops used to be rare, but was changed in a patch a while back so that they always drop from each kill.

One of those days;

"As he came upon the character select screen, glad the long night of raiding was over, he selected his trade-mule. In a rush to get some sleep, his mouse drifts askew of [enter world] and falls upon [return home]. He then cries out in shame for having left an encumbersome amount of cash on his trade-mule, and misses another hour of sleep trying to track down someone to help..."

The End

Edit Note: Before anyone decides to get noble and flame my post, yes, I am lame enough to quest something like this for a bazaar mule...

...Or maybe just grab a gem pouch or something.

All I got my Bazaar mule was J-boots, but they sure help when doing laps around the bazaar to buy stuff.

When all the other items have been upgraded to bigger and better things, you still have a very decent weight redux bag that also reduces coin weight. Thats the main benefit of this, other than monks and their coinweight.

i see youve never been HG hunting....i sometimes have 2kpp+ lots of gold silver(and i even keep 4pp in copper). i got 6 leatherfoot haversacks so FS drops arent my concern, but that coin gets HEAVY after a while.

why would you go HG hunting if you are in PoTime?then you would be better off farming ornate in Sol Ro or something like that. maybe TS items in EPs... PoP isnt exactly coin heavy, neither is GoD *shrug*

this is really not a good item considering the time it will take for you to get it.

personally i like carrying around plenty of platinum... i don't play a monk, but wouldn't be surprised if a monk wanted to be able to carrying around 10x as much platinum as normal. this would let them carry 4k instead of 400pp at a weight of 10.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 31 2004 at 6:13 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) lol, no, i havent gone HG hunting in QUITE some time. I usually get my cash from Sol Ro tower =), lol, not flamin ya, but as a piece of advice i would stop worryin bout them HG's and start shootin for 65 with EP access, u make a lot better cash that way
nice but almost nonexistant

Looking at the other items that are rewards from the quest, this is about the only one worth bothering about. I mean, look at it this way, you kill the four elemental gods and you're in PoTime, right? So why bother with the rest of the stuff that you're gonna upgrade from when you can have a 10 slot Giant sized 90% WR bag that also reduces coinage weight by 90%? Mabye it's just that I'm a monk, but I couldn't see a whole lot of use for the rest of the stuff when you're in PoTime.

Just as an aside... each of the four gods might drop one of the parts for the quest. What are the odds that you're gonna get all four with your whole raid in on the /rand? Seems to me that the ones who will be getting this will be in already-PoTime flagged guilds who are backflagging for Quarm. So you will have more elemental god kills and a greater chance for the drop. Which means you will most likely already have time gear so the rest is worthless to you anyways.

just my two cents

Only from Backflag for Quarm? I think not. Alot of time guilds still do VT, and Ssra, and things that are not time. Why? Casue something all targets are dead.. Sounds rare? Not when your on an old server, and there are 5-6 time guilds on the server. You get lucky when you get any named pop. Ep gods still drop loot, so these essences are rare indeed, but if someone wants the 4, and they are in a time guild... They will get it done.

Like my guild does... the 1st essence is the most expensive DKP one. 20 for the 1st, and then 10 for the others.

You know what?
at the time you get the 4 essences (if you happen to get all of them...), you turn in for the item you need most (aka your lowest slot)
when you upgrade that slot, switch to another item (you can endlessly turn in), and when the quest cannot upgrade any slot anymore, get and keep the purse

Also as Watz said, Essence of Earth is frigging rare, in 10-15 kills Fury's Edge (top MT guild) only got 1

Most of the loot is nice however tier 1 & 2 of time will upgrade every single piece of this w/o any problem. I personally will go with the bag.

Side note here, any high end guild whose doing this does not /random on loot. Most high end guilds use either a point system or one where officer/leader determines who gets what. Also the 4 items dropped are usually a package deal counting as 1 single loot. Thus if a piece drops whoever has the most piece total who needs it will get it. The rarest of the pieces however is the one you get from the Rathe council. We've cleared them 4 times and never seen the piece. Plus no one likes to kill Rathe (5hr mind numbing events aren't any fun).

Seeing as you have to kill all 4 elemental bosses, good luck. You're going to need it. Not only do you have to kill them, you personally have to win the rolls. But don't let that discourage you.
Monks
# Dec 02 2003 at 5:53 AM Rating: Decent
This would be awsome for monks as well as it takes very little in the way of coin to start dropping a monks AC.
Rumor has it...
# Nov 27 2003 at 10:23 PM Rating: Decent
This "coin purse" is a bag much like the one from Lord Yellinak. This one is 10 slot, GIANT, and reduces items within it and coin weight by 90%. Or so they say...
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 26 2003 at 6:50 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What is the point of this...does it give you endless money?

I do not know what it does exactly, but of course it is NOT endless money. I theorize it causes all money you are carrying to have zero weight.
RE: ?
# Nov 26 2003 at 11:34 AM Rating: Default
It is supposed to do that (weightless money) as well as keep pickpockets in their own pockets (at least originally, when pickpocketing was deviously fun). It could really come in handy certain situations where a person was on a long raid and collecting all the cash loots from dead mobs. The weight you get alone in copper sometimes is enough to make a mountain out of it.
