Where are the Clumps???

Just started a troll SK, need a clump for my newbie helm. Innothule is all sorts of weak sauce now...are there even any watchers left in the zone?

There's a different item called Fungus Clump which comes from the fungi men in Innothule.

I used this item to create the Dark Basher's Helm Material (SK). There is not a separate item that drops off the fungus men in Innothule based on my experience hunting them for over an hour. I probably killed 30-40 of them, even killed a fare share of the baby ones, and never saw this drop. I ran to the bazaar and bought one for 1pp then did the combine along with the giant snake rattle and two two small bricks of ore. Worked like a charm. Kind of lame as there are actually several items for the lowb SK armor quests like this.

I am finding these for sale on Merchants in PoK and the Bazaar for a little over 6pp each. Sometimes they are there in great abundance - like one Vendor had over 280 for sale. If they are only found as drops off fairly high level mobs, why are there so many??? Unless they are being "seeded" by GM's, it's a puzzle to me. Any ideas anyone??

I know i'm replying to an ancient thread..but still..i'm inclined to answer.

These drop in BoT. And BoT is farmed like crazy, hence why you see so many on merchants....people just ditch them as a trash drop.
eww.
