Really amazing the stats on some of these items from PoP, especially this one. And can't believe they are droppable!!! Good signs, maybe this will make some of the nicer items in the game more available to those who simply don't have the time to put in to raiding 24/7 (like me). At the very least, you'll have the trickle down effect putting weapons from earlier expansion that used to be big plats (fleshgrinder, SBoZ, etc etc) more affordable, as the hard core players get upgraded and sell their old shzit.
I still find it incredible you can buy lamentations for under 2k on most servers now... I am all for making nicer equipment more available to the general populace.

this is a great weapon to get a mob off of a healer or caster and keep it off, i was starting to wonder with all of the etheral strike weapons out how a tank was suppose to keep agro.

nice wepon for SKs. i hardly have to fight for aggro as it is, this just makes it even easier. ive said it once ill say it a million times 'no one can out taunt a SK'

I could be wrong, but thought the hate list was backwards. So that if you are higher in value, then that actually means less aggro. I think I remember something about this when I was looking at the proc on The Blade of Carnage. It does -500 aggro. Which actually increases, not decreases aggro.

Terror of Darkness brings you up on the mob's hate-list. It is a taunting spell.

Cirulek, that's exactly what being an SK is about. Getting it when you want it. Giving it up when you should be.
From what I've seen of PoP, the high DPS mobs are putting a premium on well played tanks (both warriors and hybrids). The higher DPS puts a premium on warriors and their higher hps doing MT duties. As well as hybrids keeping a very close eye on caster aggro.
Overall, a much improved model of combat (short intense) over what SoL brought.

I propose that a clearer comment is that we have a tremendous variety of aggro management tools, ranging from wide weapon choices to different kinds of spells.
I can normally help manage aggro in any fight, either increasing it for the MA or taking it myself. My taunt is maxed and OK, but it's the diversity of our tools that lets us manage aggro.
I'm PROUD of the fact that when we have a warrior MA (my preference!) I deal a LOT of damage and usually never need a heal during the entire raid. But if a mob turns on a chanter I can use 2 Spears (Pain & Plague) and a HT to slam the beastie for over 1200 HP in 1.5 seconds and get it very, very mad at me to save the chanter, then whomp it until the MA is ready to take an aggro transfer, and FD or HS to let him take it.
It's not about claiming we can out-taunt other toons, it's using the cool mix of tools we have.

awww. some poor little warrior got jelous because of my post and had to mark it awful because i speak the truth? (maybe it was a jelous pali /shrug)
yes warriors will still be MAs, but only on long drawn out fights. when it comes to breaking mezs saving a casters butt from healing or over nuking, or just holding aggro of an add that snuffed a chanter, again, no one can out taunt a SK plain and simple.
frequently i use my reaver (take a look in my profiles bag, yeah that thing so many of you have tossed asside) on things that it can hit. i dont press my taunt button nor do i cast any spells and yet i seem to pull aggro off a warrior who is taunting and procing just by dealing dmg. with this wepon i have to FD often, just as monks do,(though not many seem to do it) so that i keep the aggro where it belongs.
