Level to attain??
# Aug 15 2005 at 7:38 PM Rating: Decent
All it is telling you there is that that is the recommended level to ensue a fight with the mob that drops the item. Not solo but with a fairly good group you could very well have yourself this item. If you are on the Luclin/Veshan server look me up I have one and am willing to get rid of it fairly cheap say about 1k or less, I think others have it priced a bit high (in my opinion). Add Kaelilea to your friends list if you are on that server and would like to have it.

Mace or Fist?
# Aug 11 2003 at 9:15 AM Rating: Decent
Wats better? Fist of Iron (11/20, +5 STR/STA, 55 HP, 50 DD Proc) or this(just look above, lol) for a 36 BST? I have Fist of Iron and Zekhas Katar and don't know if i should trade one of em for this.

My monk bought this for 3k and it really rocks. Now I know there are some "uber" peeps out there, but for us "regular" non-twinkies I think this is a great item.

I've seen it drop 4 times now off of the Ocean giants and lost every roll. 8(

Once it even dropped twice in one session but it's a rare drop like the Crashing Wave Earring.

My first trip to PoS I won this, only one other rolled, and I wanted it for my BST. Someone said hey look a nice toy, and no one else even wanted to roll. Not even thinking much about it, except it seemed faster than what my level 44 BST had, I rolled and won it. I gave it to my BST and was amazed. Later of course I found out it's value. This weapon at level 44 hits for up to 48hp dmg and is so fast it's unbelievable. I can't wait to get to level 53 when I get the full effect of the dmg and stats.

Oh and we got this with the following group, for those who were wondering about group needed. 63-War 61-Enc 65-Cler 62 Bard 63 Druid and 62-Pally if I recall correctly. Was tough at times, a couple of us died a time or two, but it was pretty fun overall. It dropped off of one of the two giants that stand on either side of the river by the little falls.
weapons combo
# Mar 19 2003 at 5:02 PM Rating: Decent
I have a question regarding what weapons combo would be best for my monk? I am currently using a admite club in primary and a baton of royal statue in secondary. I am think of buying one of these for my secondary. Any opions would be helpful thanks.
RE: weapons combo
# Jun 10 2003 at 6:56 PM Rating: Decent
Stick with the 2 Stunner's... Vs any stunnable mob, they're better IMO...

Use this formula to compare weapons.

Primary Hand = ((DMG * 2) + DMG Bonus) / Delay
Off-Hand = (DMG * 2) / Delay

The higher the ratio over 1, the better the weapon. Procs would then be considered.

So with above formula, and using the dmg bonus above as example, we get this:

Entwood = 2.00 (primary), 1.40 (off-hand)
Adamantite Club = 1.68 w/ stun (primary), 1.2 w/ stun (off-hand)
Royal Stature = 1.55 w / stun (primary), 1.0 w/ stun (off-hand)

Put your Entwood in primary, and then Adamantite off-hand.

enthwood should go in ur main, its the best dropable monk primary wep out there atm.
RE: weapons combo
# Oct 27 2003 at 8:08 AM Rating: Decent
There are a few better dropable monk weapons, not the least of which are the Waning Light Katar 16/22 with process, one from PoH that has a 22/28 ratio, Spiked Knuckles of Brawling which are 17/23 and there are probably more I don't know about as well. This is a good weapon, don't get me wrong, but it is not the best dropable monk weapon you can equip in primary

A slower and a real tank would be better but you could do it it jsut wouldn't be very efficient at all.

Hi there dear

More than likely, the group that you have listed above would not be quite enough oomph to take these chaps out. If you were to add a Tank class and a slower (Greater slow than BLord) for standard melee group then you could accomplish it.

If you got yourself a really good CoD chanter then the people above would be set.

Happy hunting

These are rare drops off of the "coastal giants" in the Plane of Storms. As you zone in, go left along the coast and you will see their fortress. I won the only one that I have seen drop and the giant wasn't weilding it, if I remember correctly. Be careful, these hit for 700 and are very magic resistant. They are hard to CC and hard to slow. Roots aren't gonna cut it probably. However most of them can be mezzed at this point, untill VI sees fit to nerf that. In my opinion they are the harder of the 3 giant races in PoS. Hope this helps some.

Oh yea, it looks like those skull maces when equipped.

if you're using a custom UI skin and such try copying eqanimation.xml from the default folder into the custom one you're using, this solved the problem for me

Ok this post doesn't have to do with the item itself but the picture for it...

To fix those grafx glitches that make items look like pearl necklaces, go in to your program files and delete the texture caching files (the .txc ones). This also fixes those weird graphics glitches that make pets look funky colors.

There is some kind of bug with inventory graphics that causes some of the new pop items to appear as pearl necklaces in links. Frequently when I try to sell Nightmarewood Compound Bows people tell me that the inventory graphic looks like a pearl necklace. I have yet to see this myself, however.
