Actually, anyone can recharge it in a recharging kit.
Change to this item
# Oct 17 2004 at 1:21 PM Rating: Decent
Went to see how many charges I had before needing to recharge this, and noticed it now says "This can be used in tradeskills". Does anyone know what it can also be used for?
RE: Change to this item
# Oct 25 2004 at 1:44 PM Rating: Decent
The tradeskill that this is used in is actually for combining it with a mana batrtery to recharge it. Thats the only combine that it's used in currently.
this now summons Gauze
# Jun 23 2004 at 3:22 PM Rating: Decent
I had one of these made today and instead of summoning a stack of banages, it made a stack of Gauze. These function the same as Bandages and unlike the summoned bandages, these will stay are NOT no rent :)

NOTE: Even though people in game will tell you otherwise, I [human warrior] was able to recharge this today :)

UPDAYE 7/2/2004:Had one of my alt characters try to use this last night, and it seems the Recommended level is actualy the Required level. Sent a bug report on this.

How does this work?
# Nov 25 2003 at 8:30 AM Rating: Default
OK, Let me get this straight... I have the press that shows 20 charges, and Class 1 batteries for spares /recharging. Now I have to get a Deluxe Toolkit to recharge it in order to cast bandages? My monkey is level 32 and just right clicking on the press does not work.

get a collapsible toolbox so you don't have to carry the extra weight and you can put it in a 100% WR bag

It does not work in a bag. Take it out of the bag, put it in a main inventory slot or your ammo slot, THEN right click it.

And yes, you need a toolbox to recharge it. Deluxe is not Necessary, but it is nicer since it has 10 slots.

Required Level?
# Nov 25 2003 at 3:37 AM Rating: Default
Ack! The in-game description says, recommended level 30. The Allakhazam screenshot says, recommended level 30.

I cannot use it at 8! Seems like "required level 30" is more appropriate...?
RE: Required Level?
# May 12 2004 at 6:33 PM Rating: Decent
Required lv means what lv you can equip it. you can equip this at any lv.

Last night was in bazaar and picked up one of these for 150pp, collapsable toolkit for 400pp, and minimizing device for 450pp.... figure all well worth that... even if a bit of nuisance...

But seems to me that going out of your way to make it hard on supposed super-chr monks is getting annoying... making this 5 lbs and medium in size so it doesnt fit in large soiled bag... cmon. not to mention making it needing to be recharged with a toolbox that weighs a ton as well... so have to carry this, collapsable toolbox and stack of batterys. sheesh.

The minimizing device (which will be most used by tanks and such) is tiny and near weightless.

Just thought to update on how much the price had dropped on Brell anyway.

have a good one...

Update....
Price back up to 450pp on Brell.

And I take back everything i said about the monk thing. Yeah it is heavier that should be and bigger than could be, but sitting there in my rallic pack it is one of the most valuable items i have in there.

Once you hit lvl 51 and your bindwound takes off, you now are a power bandager. Bandaging the shaman as they canni, bandaging peeps after being rezzed, bandaging peeps back up to 70 percent in med breaks and such...

Taking up four slots in my inventory are Gause Press, stack of Class 1 Batteries, collapsable toolbox, and 4oo stacks of bandaids.

I am not complaining about that at all. =)

To make this item using the tinkering skill (gnome only) requires a Class 6 mana battery.

To RECHARGE this item, requires a Class 1 mana battery.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 05 2002 at 6:17 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) For any rogue who didnt notice you can go back and do they very 1st part of your epic repeatedly and have free bandages foreva. To get stanos' pouch all you have to do is Find Malka Rale (sp*), in qeynos aquaducts, hail her and say "I will Help" i dont know if non-rogue classes can do it but i do know you have to be 50+ for it to work. I cant remember her spawn time but she is on a SET gametime spawn time.

#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 02 2002 at 3:51 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) dude in bazaar was selling a few for 2.5k I was overjoyed that I would never have to visit Greigs end and try to get a Medic's pouch, when everyone else can just go get a *XI#(D*ing easy toget enbalmers skinning knife to summon their bandaids, when monks have absolutely nothing available to us besides a ND item in a hard zone to summon bandaids.. this seemed like a godsent, and when I wake up 2 days later and get on, its 20 charges.. now I need to carry around mana batteries, a folding toolbox, when originally the idea was that taking up 1 slot for unlimited bandaids was good, now its just about worthless to me, I dont want to recharge the danm thing all the time, I was going for simplicity, not complicated contraption. just adds more spaces in my T satchel to take up :( I however /petition and /feedback after asking the GM what i could do about getting the effect back, he said that I could /feedback the dev team and ask that they put it back, thats my case, others can use a simple item like enbalmers knife to get bandaids, we have nothing thats as easy to get to get bandaids from. Case. its not fair that we have no choices on bandaid summoning items. please give the effect back. every monk who is concerned about this should /feedback and ask they unnerf it!! :)
Mana Batt's & Stuff
# Oct 31 2002 at 11:06 PM Rating: Decent
Just an FYI, this is recharged with a class 1 mana battery, the class 6 is needed in making it only. After patch today (10/31) it's broken, no bandages appear when you cast and you get a you are trying to cast an unknown spell or some to that effect.
RE: Mana Batt's & Stuff
# Nov 01 2002 at 12:27 AM Rating: Default
OK, so it's a class 1? That is much better than a class 6. Class 6 are hard to get.
20K-25K ????
# Oct 31 2002 at 6:59 PM Rating: Default
I must have got this cheap for what some people are saying 20K+ WTF? I just got mine on Aro for 1K and the Collapsed Toolkit for 1K also. And someone was in the bazaar trying to sell 1 class 6 manabattery for 5K, I laughed. But now it's off to find out where the class 6 manabatteries are sold. I just got PoP today, and was told PoK. SO I guess I'll try there first. :)

To clarify: You need a class 6 battery for the initial combine to make this. But when you recharge it, you only need a class 1 battery.

And a class 1 mana battery costs about 10 plat, 8 gold.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 31 2002 at 7:55 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This was just nerfed today. Now has 20 charges. Replenishable with a class 6 manabattery.

Good way to ***** up a nice item if you ask me. Unless those mana batteries are cheap as hell and drop fast (which I highly doubt) the usefulness of this item has dropped significantly, and the price probably will have to also.
RE: Nerfed
# Nov 01 2002 at 10:59 PM Rating: Decent
Actually the batteries only cost 11pp....and the bandages are no longer norent.

Currently sells for 9-10k on Drinal server. Many high-level tinkers there, so I can see the price slowly fall on this item.

I don't know about you, but for me, this item is priceless. My monk is always running out of bandages, this fixed that problem. This is an ulimited supply of bandages, no need for a weapon proc or anything. If you think the weight is significant, it's not, because for a monk that can afford this, he most likely has a tink bag or another 100% weight reducer and you can simply bag it when you're not using it.

Great item, so far I'm very impressed with the new items.
Price Disparity
# Oct 28 2002 at 2:51 PM Rating: Decent
The price on this item will largely differ from server to server in most cases. Why? Becasue certain servers have a different amount of people who know and have the tinkering skill to make it. On Saryrn there is one person selling these and he is asking for 15k, and they sell, why, becasue he has no competition so he can set the price the way he sees fits. On other servers (such as the one with the tinkeres Guild, all gnomes with tinkering or something of the sort) the price will be lower because more will be available. Either way this is a great item! Although i think i will wait on purchasing this item until the price lowers, or perhaps make a gnome myself... nah, ill wait lol =)

I bought an embalmers skinning knife for my warrior. It is a sorry weapon but it procs bandages and on drinal server they sell around 1k or so. I just use knife on low lvl mobs till it procs when i need bandages or when I get the mob on the run. Yes the press is better but knife is ok if u are on a budget. Hopes this helps.

RE: Alternative
# Oct 27 2002 at 10:55 PM Rating: Decent
Wow that's steep for the Embalmers Knife! I paid 200 for mine.

I'd like this thing just because I wouldn't have to actually use the knife in battle, but it procs a lot anyway. The press weighs 5.0 though, which could be a problem for some people, but nice to equip in ammo slot.

The coolest item i've seen out so far from PoP, also i don't see any charges listed, like the other anizok devices for shrinking and whatnot.

This item is a great alterbative to the seemingly inpossible to get (by me anyways) then the small manisi plant out of chardok and that one from grieg's end that r monkable.

Can't wait to buy one for my monk,=)

Also do any tinkerer's know how much this is going to be selling for?
RE: Finally!!!!
# Oct 25 2002 at 12:08 AM Rating: Decent
These things are selling for about 25k on Solusek Ro at the moment. They are pretty heavy little buggers and hefty in price. However, I would love to get my hands on it for my monk. Too bad I will never have the kpp to spare for it. Btw if you have a monk, just make a Mage toon to summon norent wt reduction bags and fill them full of bandages. That is what I do, less expensive than 25k and if i lose the bag all i do is lose some mana and 5 mins.
RE: Finally!!!!
# Oct 27 2002 at 3:28 PM Rating: Default

It summons half your lvl in bandages, it says effect lvl 30 so you would summon 15, over lvl 40 you only summon 20 at a time tho hehe.

This item summons a stack of 20 no rent bandages. Going for about 5k on Xegony, or less if you get all the stuff from PoI. This item made me one happy monky.
