Got one of these a couple weeks ago. Great item until I finish up my shawl quest. Spell Haste is fast. I didn't think 20% would make that much difference, but I barely seen my casting bar when I use Canni4, and Khura's doesn't take a whole raid to cast now.
BTW-Spell Haste works on all beneficial spells EXCEPT the big heal bombs. i.e.-Kragg's Mending
Since they were changed to 12 wis, these epaulets rock. (Unless you have your prayer shawl, I'd be wearing these). The resists are nice, 65 mana is awesome, good hit points, and 12 wis. That's 4 more wis than any other shoulder piece for a druid I've seen. Use that 4 wis to your advantage and drop 4 wis somewhere else where it's easier to get stats (rings, maybe?) if you're capped already. This item is free, make sense?
Now that this changed to 12 wis this will replace my Weight of the Gods..Then when i need that 25 magic save ill put the WotG back on ..well good hunting and safe journey to all.
Matchless dragonwing mantle (what I'm wearing): some AC, 45 HP, 45 mana. This: 20 more HP, 20 more mana, 8 dex for channeling, 12 sta = 36 more hp, haste (which I appreciate a lot more these days), and some saves. What do you think? Do I care about the wisdom?
With a rec level of 55, you should very easily have close to 255 WIS already, especially with KEI being so common now... so it's time to start raising your other stats...
At the level that you can obtain this, at least for a shaman, you dont really care what your current wis is....your hit point total is more important, simply because hit points + cann = mana. I would use this on my shaman, over any wis slot, unless by chance the item had Wis and that much mana and hit points.
This is common now, and was started in Luclin. Verant is trying to incent all classes to have balanced stats. I'm not quite sure what the overall point is, but look at things like the Luclin Quest Armor (crappy as it may be) and the drops in UP and SD. There's a definite trend of buffing up those "off-stats". If you collect a whole "set" of LQA or UP armor for your class, you will find that many stats you would not have gone out looking for are now quite reasonable.
The Luclin armor sets are alot better than their earlier counterparts, especially the shaman suit which comes with wis on every piece unlike totemic where it is only on the helm. The real problem with these suits of armor are the drops required to get them. Even if you started at level 1 collecting the pieces and casually hunted/exp in the zones required to get the pieces you will probably not see all the drops till you are long gone from the area. Hell I will take likely back and say that, NO, you wont find all the pieces without a colossal waste of time and effort on your part to get a tracker (cuz it cannot be done without one and your only fooling yourself if you think you can) and remain in these zones hunting the pieces long after you do not gain exp from them anymore.
I should know...I'm just the kind of idiot who has taken on the task of trying to get not just 1 but 2 complete sets of these armors! I come from a pvp server and these would be kick *** low level pvp setups for my little slayers. ;)
It's always been that way....look back on the ooooold class specific quest armors(lambent, crafted, totemic, etc, etc). I'd be more than happy with this item...Int or no Int ;)
