So who thinks these are better than the Umbral bracers due to the HP/Mana ? Sacrifice some AC and 9int/wis (depends on which ya care about) for the extra mana and hp? I would consider it for sure.

There are some thing you need consider if going against the UP Bracelets. If you've already got max wis/int Yes go for this puppy. Hp is always a bonus when it comes to anyclass. If you could use the Resists or AC over the hp and and mana then I'd say go for the UP bracelets myself, either way you got your gonna have a decent caster wrist.

Imagine how nice it must have been before it started rotting.

Funny, how when the game first came out, rusty, tattered, etc. items were mostly the really bad ones.

It actually does make sense.

This is a wristband imbued with the power of the Plane of Disease (which should be called the Plane of Decay, but I digress). This power gives it it's stats. What happens when you add the power of decay to something? It decomposes. Decomposing wristband. Check out the other items in PoD...you'll see the same theme (Pox Ridden carapace, oozing quarterstaff, etc).

I'm aware that there are other, similarly named items. What I was saying, rather tongue-in-cheek, is that I find the name humorous. Now, if it was called disease (or decay) infused bracer, that would be diferent.

Quite frankly, most of the gear that is coming out lately, is sort of disgustingly named. Imagine ACTUALLY walking around with a decomposing wristband, and boots of flowing slime, and several items made of bile, and other disgusting fluids. I mean, beer stained is one thing, but soiled breechclout(underpants), man, thats sick.

It's a really nice bracer statswise, and I certainly wouldn't turn one down, but you've got to admit the names are getting kind of out there.

Well, lets see, this can be worn by WIS and INT casters, so it can't be anything harder than leather, possibly cloth, so yes, it * has * to be decomposing, because everything organic is constandly decomposing.

Could be worse though, there is a necklace around in the game made of intestine. Nice stats, really disgusting concept.
