Took my about an hour to get mine. First started off by zoning in with my 67 Monk and cleric merc and just started killing everything down both paths, not just the models that dropped it. Can't say for certain how many corroded/erratic I killed, but I would guess around 10 all together and didn't get anything. After about 45 minutes of that, an 85 Monk came into zone to farm for knuckle joints and let me loot a spring she got off of a mob. I think she killed about 15-20 mobs down the left pathway before it dropped, so, it's not horribly rare but it did take some time. Probably would have taken me a few hours if I was by myself the whole time. Shout out to that Monk that helped me out :]
Saw onne of these last night on my mage. Now, I took my beast from 50 -57 in POI, about a month ago, and I'd never seen this item. When it dropped last night, I looked it up. "huh", I though.

well i can say that this item is not common hit PoI for 10 hours one day and did not even see 1 drop.
In the PoJ, kill wandeing rats and the drop a bottle with a note in it.
In PoT, in the buildings near entrance to PoN, hail a fishing gnome and he'll tell you a story. Hand him the bottle. You'll get a map.
In PoK, find the gnome cousin mentioned by the fishing gnome and hand in the map. You will get a container which you have to fill with:
=Tri-coated Metal Casing
=Size C Spring
=Creeping Silk Strands
=Congealed Bile-based Ooze
Hit combine and..... well.. I don't know... haven't gotten much further. Some people OOC'ed that this is for a +5 to all stats neck, but I have not verified this yet.

i believe it is a ac5 +5 to every stat neck slot with clickie gate i think its called like clockwork talisman or something....
