IS it just me or is this drop EXTREMELY rare now? I was in PoI last night for about 7 hours and got 3 Bundles of Superconductive Wires to drop but NO,absolutely NO Silicorrosive grease

It may be a rare drop, but I just bought 16 of them from a vendor in Plane of Tranq. for a little over 9pp each. All on the same vendor! SCORE!

I would not recommend trading these to an NPC for gems. Try taking them to bazaar and selling them on trader instead. They are part of a few tradeskill recipies as well as a quest for a +25 str back item. https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=18979
IMO the str on that cloak is meaningless... it's the 10stamina and HP on it that make it such a nice item.
I mean, my str is 139 unbuffed and regularily is at it's cap of 280 (occasionally at cap and I know I have 80+ more in buffs that don't show up)

that would be focus to get to 75 and diaku to 45 which is 120str to 139 = 259 which doenst even get you to 280 cap let alone 80 over it, unless you are a pally which is the str from yaulp but still nowhere near that.

I've handed in several of these, I never noticed getting diamonds and such, but maybe I need to check my bags more carefully...you know I would hate to get to the port point and have the attendant ask me if anyone has given me any items without my knowledge, and have to say YES...wait...how would I know if it was without my knowledge? I guess that's why they finally stopped asking that question.

You will not always get a reward back other than exp. Many times I have gotten nothing, a few times diamonds/raw diamonds, and once a blue diamond.
