I cant beleave how many times Ive been to Fear and never seen this drop, at this rate I will never get my epic :(. Its a pain in the ***. I wish it was a defenite drop. Oh well

This items junk really cept to do your epic, I managed to get em from Terror bit ago havn't finsihed my epic tho /sigh guilds to lazy to do POA :(
I've managed to get one of these bad boys on my PoF raid on 8/18/02. Considering the fact of how ultra rare these things are dropped, I was really damn surprised when it dropped once we killed Terror. And lady luck was with me when I've managed to win the random for this bad boy.
But now, get this. Shortly after we killed Terror, our raiding party pulled Dread and it dropped ANOTHER ONE!! What are the odds of that happening?
Well, I have this nice uber item now, but I won't be using it unless its for my epic. However, if I am really desperate for cash, I can always sell it for 90K on my server.

ok your are a n00b for one the only classes that the wt will effect is int casters and monk/BL becauseof low str/wt restrictions. but for the meleers 16ac and 2 to all stats and 20hp/mana and 2sv all rocks if it wasn't used for the necro epic it would easily bring in 10-15k but seeming how its for thenecro epic on brell they can go for as little as 40k but thats when the seller is desperite the usual price is 70k+ cause its frickin rare as hell. anyways thats my 2 cents. and by the way u may think it is pretty common because it drops off 2 mobs but its not aproxx odds of it dropping is prolly 1 in 20 for Terror and 1 in 15 for CT.My Dad was on a Fear slaughter last night killed everything cept the golems cause they weren't up. CT dropped 2 FT 1 range items the eye and the brain dad got the brain and the FT 1 robe which my dad lost on. so my guess is he drops at least 2 or 3 FT items per kill unless he drops the slime blood and then he prolly only drops 1 or 2.
Your smoking alot of crack. 3kpp is not much. If you can raid plane of fear and kill cazic thule with a guild or what ever and 3kpp seems like alot to you then your equipment must truly suck beyond what the normal planes raid person has equipped.
Obviously you don't play a monk. I'm perpetually poor and 3k is like a fortune to me.

Posted: Jul 28 2002 at 7:49 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ummm, some people dont always get all the loot on big raids like that, i have crap gear for my level 49 rogue oh mighty god who expects to get everything on raids, i was lucky enough for there to be only 2 rogues at the time their bps dropped that i could get one (PoH), but my guild isnt the best, some people have tov gear, some people dont, alot of people dont have REALLY REALLY good gear like other people, but when you have 500k to blow out of your @$$, yo can say that 3k is like 3pp, but when ya have like no money in the bank, you always hope something good drops when your in a group or on a raid or something, learn to be a lower level...it seems that when people get past 52 or something, they always think they are the best of EVERYONE, and become @$$holes, now learn to be a level 46 and go one raids like that and think these are ok, hate peeps like you

Learn to be lvl 46? um wtf Do you think all the 52+ skipped those lvls? stop whineing and play the damn game. you loot and plat will come just like everyone elses. dont get all upset cause you dont have things right now, jeez. You new players are freaking spoiled as is. i was lvl 45 in 1999 and had a freaking combine longsword in my offhand ( 6 dmg 28 dly and magic NO STATS OMG that was uber back then) so please SHUT UP

At least it has high weight to discorage melee classes from wanting them. But I'm still on the mansi herb part, haven't gotten that far yet.

Well accually it has high weight to discourage casting classes to wear them (and monks) cuz casters are generally low on str.

I hope you have a high level necro alt or there where no necros on that raid. :/ If you took that from an epic seeking necro, you can go die.

Ok, that's fine then. :) I just hate seeing people wearing them as normal gear just to wear them. Completely unfair to hog an epic bottleneck like that, imo.
Someone get Cazic a drink...seems his blood needs some thinning. Someone with blood this heavy is just asking for heart problems down the road.

Anyone know how often this thing drops? Alot of the other stuff that used to drop has had their drop rates increased and was wondering if the same applied to this baby here?

Figures that some of the best Ranger/Rogue gloves in the game are for Necro Epic. I would kill for the AC on these myself, much better than the 12 on my current gaunts. Plus, the stats are nice and so are the svs. Sigh, why cant they make epic items suck, so people that can use items like these can get them? Thx VI.

Casters are USELESS in any kind of raid, only reason you r able to go there because guild just don't want you to feel bad ( except wizzie for tp) but another tank and a cleric is so much more usefull than a necromancer. Wish they made the uber mob lot of hp and give them a few CH to make it difficult but take immunity to dd or dot away then raid would be lot more fun than just watching guild mate die one after another in the raid and as a necro you try to dump mana to cleric.

Necro is more useful than lots of tanks. The pet does as much or even more damage than the monks, rogues, rangers, and SK's. Then the necro himself can just stack on the DT's, or heal the "tanks", or give mana to the cleric to heal the "tanks", or give DMF in an area where your underwater killing a sea dragon or need to run over lava. But yeah, necro's are worthless for raids, nevermind ;p

WHen i was hunting in Fob some lvl 51 monk was having a contest to see if any newbie could live ten seconds under his attack and there was only one that lasted more then 7 and he was a very big twink. I would say i would rather have a mage pet helping me out then your necro pet for they i think are better. I say a rogue with a big damage high delay piercing weapon once that in a few backstabs could do more damage then your pet could do for some time. And rangers if they get there bow from the plain or air they will out damage your pet using that. There epics are awsome weapons also. Many people try not to get the pets in some zones just because they can get you killed by doing something stupid and getting a large train. Enchanters are more important then you for the mez spells and clarity 2 or just clarity. Wizards much more damage then you. Clerics one of the most important people in a group. Shamans good for the second healer spot and some nice buffs and haste spells. Druids good to be a secondary healer palidan cant get a warrior in every group same as shadowknights. Bard some nice songs they can play. Necro im not saying that they arent nice to have in a raid i like having them but dont say they are better then some of the tanks and other things. They are good for getting mana to people. and summoning corpses when they raid falls.

Or if the monk wants to duel the pet, well then, the monk should do so, but without ALL of his equipment. You strip the pet from his master? Then strip the monk from his items. Now thats fair, and I wanna see that poor monk getting mashed by that UBER emissary of thule. LOL

Casters are supposed to output damage, that's their job. It's the tanks' job to TAKE damage. If all that a raid cared about was damage output, then yes you would rack up a lot of corpses, friend and foe.
Necromancers are a valulable asset to a raid, they often are seen up with the pull group feeding them mana. But to undervalue the tanks is a terrible mistake. Any raid would rather have that half-dead monk with his slightly lower damage output, than the totally dead necromancer who had no one to tank for him since pets are sometimes not allowed in raids (for that matter, I forget if DoT's are allowed...).
And for the record, as long as you're listing who necro's do more damage than, might as well put up paladins, and clerics, and the chanters on CC. But then again, who wants to get rez'd by the cleric or LH'd by the paladin anyway?
So yes I believe that necromancers have their values in raids, but so do the other classes. No one is useless, unless they don't know what they're doing.
As for down on Norath when you're just doing the group XP-pharm thing...

But then what happens with the !@#$ hits the fan and your pet falls apart? What now, you tell the cleric to tank? Or would you rather do it yourself? No, you send out the paladin, or the warrior, or the SK. Sure, rangers and rogues and monks don't have the AC that the pally/SK/warrior have, but they'll be able to taunt it off nice and quick. Maybe even before your pet dies...
Also, tanks usually are laden with the job of pulling the area, since they'll get the first agro. Initially, your pet will be able to taunt it off of you, and overwrite that pull agro, but if you're interested in stacking all these DoT's, eventually one pet just can't taunt well enough. You're going to need someone else to have gotten that initial agro, so they can meatshield... and guys in armor just do that better than guys in robes.
Just my 2 cp... every class has a use, some more obscure than others.
