The absolute best place I have found to farm these is the Kobold camps near the newbie area in steamfont. The various Grikbar kobolds drop them fairly frequently and since they don't KoS anyone and don't aid each other fighting, except to heal, these can be taken at around level 4 or 5 depending on class.
Lvl 10 ERU CLR. I just killed a bunch of the [griknab] kobolds and I didn't get a single brick. Looked all over Ak'Anon and none of the merchants had any.
I would like to add that the Legionnaires drops this as well in Nektulos, not just the scouts. Descent newb gear, well worth the effort if you aren't a twink or have a lot of pp.
Think it can be found on any death fist orc roaming in EC Orcs Camps, West Freeport newbie zone, Nektulos Orcs Camps, Faydark (Greater and Lower) Orcs Camps, CB. But as long as you're affilated to Neriak quests.. don't kill in Crushbone or Faydark, they are Indigo Brotherhood Faction which is the Neriak guards faction. May be completed :p

Hunting crushbone will lower your Indigo Brotherhood faction ... which might not be recommended if you like dealing in Neriak. Just something to think about ... Warrens might be a better destination.
try the death fist scouts/templars/legionaires near the zone to EC, they wander by the first split in the road there, they drop the bricks quite regularly!
the Orcs inside Nektulos now drop this. My 50 cleric took the camp NE of the river line out three times and got one brick. LOL hope something else drops it a little more frequently or it is going to be a long quest.
If you are searching for bronze drops from a Greater Faydark Orc, you will search in vain. I killed more than 50 (at least) and didn't get one drop. When I entered Crushbone, though, I almost immediately recieved drops of this. Is there a way to request a minor update to this page?
Actually these quests can be used to raise your blacksmithing skill. Got my first point in Blacksmithing with my lvl 19 ranger from these quests. However they are classified as no fail combines.
Calnonric Gregorich, Shaman of the 48th ritual Jebadae, Ranger of the 19th trail
After doing all of these quests up to the weapon for an Ogre warrior, my Blacksmithing is at 5, so they do keep giving skill-ups, though I do not know what the trivial might be. And no, I did not do any training or other combines that might affect Blacksmithing.
