well from ratio it makes it better then the exquiste line of velium forged weapons... soo already it is close to 3k with that, with the weight only being 1 this makes it a great monkie weapon, so heres another 500pp to about 2.5k-3.5k wait , look at all the classes that can use! another 500pp k so 3-4k hmm wait wait its not lore? DAMN!?! With that ratio another 500pp and yes it has stats add another 500pp yer lookin to pay close to 4-6k for these bad boys, they own an are very good weapons that is making smithing back into what it should have ben all this time...only thing smithing was really worth a few xpansions back was making cultural armor lol.

#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 24 2002 at 11:53 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If you look at the top right of this it tells u what u need to make the item gee why cant people look at the whole site before the stupid questions are asked.
This is such bull ****

This weapon is better than anything Culturally troll made, and if this can be made by other any smith then i have just wasted my time working on black smithing as a troll!!

What's stopping you from making this item?
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 24 2002 at 6:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) god your such a friggin idiot, did you even LOOK at troll made stuff? most of the weps are 12/21 with stats and a proc, thats a little better then this wep, and i think its bs that you should be complaining that trolls should be the only ones able to make good weps.
RE: This is such bull ****

I agree, that troll weapons are good but not better than this most are diety restricted, plus the weapons that have procs only have 1 stat, like 5str or 5ac. Your right i am an idiot, if i had been say a human smith i could have this weapon and some bad *** armor. Mostly im just saying that trolls should have the best smithed weapons cause they seriously lack on the armor making capabilitys!

Actually you did good on making that troll Blacksmith, Most of the weapons a troll blacksmith can make have the proc ykesha they are also damage 12 delay 21 The yekeshga proc is a 75 DD proc not to bad but hey with that deadly fast speed could add up some serious damage rather quickly. IMO i would stay with the troll blacksmith and make the weapons that proc. A proc also adds more agro to you wich is good if you are the MT or MA. Good luck! =)

The unfortunate thing with the Ykesha proc is that by the time you're ready to use this bad boy the proc will very often be resisted. Otherwise this is one heckuva 1hb: very nice ratio and decent stats, very light... I'm impressed. I can't wait till I develope my skill and scrounge up the ingredients... oh boy! heh

I agree troll black smithed weapons are nice but now with this calibur of a weapon makeable by every black smith i am missing out on the high quality armor that i could have made to go with this weapon had i chosen another race to smith with. Like human for example

That may be true but you're forgetting one thing.

The components for this drop from mobs that are not just panzy baby lizards like the ones that roam around in the feerott. They're not like the froggies you kill in your swamp. They take a really good group of high level characters to have a chance at.

Oh yeah and they're pretty darned rare drops too. So no, not just any smith can make these. In fact I don't even think anyone on Inny has. By the time you can make these you probably have better, and it's unlikely that you'd sell them for as much as the effort it takes to get the components would really require.

I have a question regarding recommended levels...

if, at my level, I were to equip this, would it say that I couldn't?.. or could I, but there would be some restrictions??? any type of response would be nice TY

There are two different ways that I've seen Recommended Level be implimented:

1) If your current level is below the recommended level on the item, you cannot equip the item at all.

2) If your current level is below the recommended level, then you can still equip the item, however most stats on the item are decreased in proportion to the difference between your level and the level on the item. In other words, the farther you are below the recommended level, the lower the stats on the item. The "true" stats of the item are listed as normal, and the "modified" stats of the item (due to insufficient level) are listed next to the "true" stats, in red text enclosed in parenthesis.

For example, if you were to equip this mace, and you were far below the recommended level, it may look something like this upon inspection:

MAGIC ITEM
Slot: PRIMARY SECONDARY
Skill: 1H Blunt Atk Delay: 20
DMG: 12 (4)
STR: +3 (+1) WIS: +3 (+1) INT: +3 (+1) HP: +50 (+16) SV DISEASE: +7 (+2) SV POISON: +7 (+2)
Recommended level of 51.
WT: 1.0 Size: MEDIUM
Class: WAR CLR PAL RNG SHD DRU MNK BRD ROG SHM BST
Race: ALL

Other way around..

Str 1 (+3) Wis 1 (+3) etc. etc.
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 23 2002 at 9:59 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I'm still in the early phases of building up my smithing skill, but I'm gonna take a stab in the dark here: is there anyone that can post a link to the locations of the ingredients used in the manufacture of this item?

For the sheet of metal and the mace head mold, check http://www.eqtraders.com , they have trade supplies sorted both by zone (all tradeskills) and by tradeskill first and then by zone within. The other two items both come from the Cazic Thule zone, the lizard blood being EXTREMELY rare, as I understand it, and the swampwood stave not very common either.
