I killed her right outside the "a grotesque rat" building on Firiona Vie today. The piece is tradeable on here, so if any pally is looking for it, feel free to send me a message if I am on. Dathhob is the toon that has it.
Had a Tainted Darksteel Breastplate drop today off a thought destroyer (nothing new there --but it has been a few years since a post on it). Spawn was in the room on map labelled for the "grotesque rat" spawn.

This dropped today on the XEV server in Hate. No Pallys around, I looted it in case of an MQ. Dropped off of a Thought Destroyer.

I took a group into hate this evening and we looted the darksteel bp. Anyone know if this is MQable?

It is indeed MQ'able. I was indifferent to quest NPC in Erudin and did it fine.

Dropped today off Thought Destroyer to make a 59 Pally very happy.

Fixed as of last patch. TD now spawns to the right of #12 on this map. Killed twice, dropped the BP twice.

I have sent several emails and a lot of /bug reports related to this BP. I believe it to be bugged now but VI still claims that they "know of no issues" with the drop. I cannot find any evidence from anywhere that shows it dropping since the revamp of HATE. I personally have keeled every mob in HATE several times over now and still have not seen it.
I no longer need the Pally epic because VI allowed the epics to be outclassed.... but I have invested too much to not get it now... It's become a matter of principle :)
If ANYONE has dropped it since the revamp, PLEASE post what details you can!

Well tonight we had it drop in hate, so it still drops. If anyone is looking for a mq on the rathe send a tell to Darkangl.

This does definitely drop in the PoH off of a Thought destroyer......which spawns in the same spot after killing a Scorn Banshee, looks like a smaller Version of the banshee..not very tough but drops the Pally Epic drop needed for Fiery Defender. Not as common as some here have said...7 trips to Hate for this dropped once..1st floor cleared each time..So don't come and expect to get it your 1st trip.
It does drop off the Thought Destroyer in PoH. I think some people must be mistaken in saying that it drops elsewhere.

It does only drop in hate. The kael one is a corroded plate bp, and is in no way related with the paladin epic. These really are pretty common there, most times atleast 2 or 3 drop in a raid.

That is completely incorrect. The thurg quest bp part drops in Kael and is a rare/random drop off of mobs over a certain level (as is any armor, plate seems to be most common.../shrug). Tainted Darksteel BP (see above) drops in PoH only after killing a specific revenant (i think its been a few weeks)...then a thought destroyer spawns and it, in my experience, always has the Tainted Darksteel BP which is for one of the paladin fire sticks. If in fact you got this bp in Kael it is due to a bug as it was NEVER intended to drop there. What you likely got was a quest item bp. If you got this BP in Kael you should read up on the paladin quest that needs it and MQ it with one of your friends (I forgot if that can be done with that item or not). If the piece is for thurg armor you should get it for your cleric as the BP is decent unless you are uber. Go back and read what you actually have in the bank.

I have to admit it's been a while since I completed my epic (blocked most of it out anyway lol) but if I'm not mistaken this bp does not come from PoH, I remember being given the item when I turned in my items for FA( and yes I think it was the FA not FD) anyway my point is that I think this is not a dropped item
Nope, this is definately a drop in PoH and is used in the proces of getting the FD. I haven't done my epic yet, but this is my latest acquisition - though I got it a few months ago. Not yet time to be working on the FD w/o the FA (or hell, my SF yet ;))

This item is not in the quest item list. In fact, one of the recent failures of Allakhazam's is the unwillingness to actually link quest items to the quest and to put them on the quest item list.

His unwillingness? Have you sent a correction? The man is not perfect and he cannot be expected to know where every quest piece in the game goes. He works off of player information, so send him a correction and he will get to it.

This is used in the Paladin Epic, the Fiery Defender. ONLY let Paladins roll on it :P.
