I bought one of these for like 2k on the test server =) Low priced economy, thats what i like about test server.

Can any 65 shamans that have soloed this camp tell me what they did to be most efficient?

Easy solo spot for a 65 Shaman , youll make an easy 8 - 75k in a day

65 shaman and 65 sk can easily partner sewers... was there for 6 hours or so got 3 rings and no boots. oh and i doubt 62 druid and 62 ranger can partner this...shaman would be much better than the druid for slow.

The Swirling Red Mass room and the next door room for a possible mosquito leg earring can be camped by a warrior level 65 no aa's or planar gear, a level 65 cleric 24 or fewer aa's and a shaman 30 or fewer aa's for several hours. Some care with boredom of repetition as greatest enemy is there.

This item drops in a high level zone dead south of the Ogre city of Oggok, called the Temple of Cazic Thule. This is an old world zone that used to be 30ish level but was revamped over a year and a half ago into a 55+ zone. This is not a zone for inexperianced players as MOBs here have relatively high HP totals and hit very hard for their level CON. If you want to camp this ring (or the other decent gear that drops in this area like FT boots) bring a group of good friends/guildies who are 60+. A solid tank, an experianced mezzer, a luller/pacifier, and a slower will make a solid group. This area can be solo'd by uber players but if that's you then you obviously don't need to be reading this. Now after assembling a group head to the sewers, which are accessed by descending down a ladder very close to the zone in (look for a map online they are easily found since this is an old world zone revamped). When fighting in the sewers the best spot to camp I have found is in one of the tunnel intersections where mobs don't spawn. The MOB's you will be fighting down here are Oozes and Mosquitos. Agro range here is considerably larger then normal so make sure you have MOBs pacified/lulled before pulling, and even then expect to pull 2 on a normal pull. As it's been quite a while since I camped this spot I can't remember exaclty, but several of the MOBs are unmezable, so have your tank take priority over the unmezable mobs obviously. Spawntime is about 15-20 min. If you train just zone out, it's a very short run to zone out and sure beats a corpse run thru the see invis sewer mobs. Good luck.

Of course, the reason this isn't a warrior/monk/rogue item is due to the pure fact that NONE of them use mana. On the other hand, all the classes here cast spells that need mana, and also have a raw need for strength, stamina, and the hps. Which is also the reason why it isn't a pure caster ring either.

I don't know why it's Hybrid only but saying that the reason it is hybrid only is because it has mana is stupid. If that were true, all the high level PoP would NEVER goto a Warrior/Rogue/Monk. These days everything has mana, I'm a Rogue and have a mana pool of about 150 points. The chain items (rogue/ranger/shaman) all have mana, that doesn't exclude rogues from getting it because of mana, thats just plain stupid.

It is hybrid only for the same reason we have melee only, caster only, and priest only items... It gives us a chance at something that, if all/all would go to the tanks... or the casters.. or.. .hehe As a ranger, I would still prolly lose out to a pally or SK tho..

Posted: Aug 31 2004 at 1:34 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) eezer, you are another entery for the "your a fk**g moron, game show" just like EVERY other ranger or bard on all of these forms. poor me, im a ranger or a bard, i never get anything( when actualy you get alot more than you should, you've been on 20 raids, you've gotten 10 items, but you think its right that you should have gotten 20. hate to break it to you but all the rest of your guild has gotten 1-5 items in those raids. thats what you sound like ) i have notice that rangers tend to get just about everything, and as for bards, omfg, how meny items out there that are good for bards that are NOT bard only. wait could that drum go to the cleric? or all those bard only 1hs / 1hp. and rangers always get the bows, and 70% of the times even get the weapons ( because they are considered more dps with weapons than the other classes ( hence all of their duel wield / dubble attack aa's ) but they dont even use meele ( unless they are dumb ) you do so much more dps with ur bows. yet you complain like man that every item isnt for you.

The thing about this guy is he plays on like Tallon Zek or something. I think that if you play on that server you're bound to be broken in the head. That would explain why his post sucked so much.

Best I can tell you is sewers, drops off the named slime.
red slime dropped it for me, ring is his common, ft3 boots his rare , and yup, in sewers

For those of you familiar with the room in which he spawns, the red slime will pop in two locations. If he pops in the near left, he will have the ring. If he pops in the far right, he will have the boots. I have never seen him pop in the far left.

I've seen red mass spawn to the near left twice. He dropped boots both times.

A month, three weeks? As a common drop, seeing how fast boots of flowing slime dropped in price, I would bet it'll drop even faster than the boots since between ring of shissar and the rest of the rings that hybrids can get fairly easily at high level, this pales. Then when you gradually filter down to the people in the non uber guilds, you will find a narrowing number of people who can actually afford a ring like this. Anyone got any bets?

Talk about idiot, lets not think in how much the item would be worth in pp, lets think about how much it would be worth to the winner of this to use. Sure you want the boots more if you going to sell it or if you a caster. But any hybrid is not going to give up high AC boots to wear FT boots and going even farther what hybrid would win the boots you know the casters would NBG them. This ring ROCKS for a hybrid class and I watched FT boots and this ring dropped in one 8 hour sitting in sewers and was much more excited when the ring dropped knowing I as a bard would get a shot at it.

Is indeed the common and FT3 boots are now the rare but do still drop.

It looks as though they changed several mobs in the last patch in CT, as far as their common/rare drops. This is one of them. Originally the boots were common, and (I am assuming) that the ring was the rare, if there was ever a rare to begin with.
