these should be listed with serpent vision.
Also phoboplasms...

In Plane of Fear these can also drop off of the phoboplasms. In fact, phoboplams are basically the "wild card" of item dropping mobs, as they can drop the class specific gear for any of the classes whose armor drops in Fear.

Good effect for Human Monks, yet you would only need them for that, at 51 you can get your epic, and you come to the plains at 46
Argfeldd, please, shut it

Lesse... you're TOTALLY ripping a peice of armor because it has 5 int. It seems you are TOTALLY ignoring the other very nice stats, and serpent sight. SVM is priceless, dex helps you land double attack and dual wield hits, and str can help you kick harder. And for Human monks, infravision is pricless.

Except iksar have higher wis than int, so they use WIS not INT to learn skills.

These gloves would be nice if they dropped somewhere else or at a more frequent rate. As a reward for a monk (who could use them) busting his butt in fear, these aren't very good.

An improvement over gem inlaid... these are pretty decent gloves, though should have more AC for being planar gear. However lighter weight and stats make up for loss of 3 AC. If you're not a twink, this are decent gloves for the level you can get them. And with a decent sized raid force, you can get them in your high 40's, a bit earlier than you can do the epic.

Just curious, but what do you mean busting his butt? In fear you are with a large group of people... so nobody really busts their butt. If you were soloing, which is almost impossible in the planes, then you'd be busting your butt.

/agree... unless you're taking on the named stuff, Fear is a pretty easy place to fight with a decent sized raid force. Be thankful your gear doesn't drop in HATE, then you'd really be busting your butt!
Wow! 5 Int!

Monks don't get enough items that increase intelligence. This will really help with my mana. Oh wait, I'm not a caster! Doh!!!

Thanks Verant!

Is this effect? clickable? or is it spontaneous?

It is permanent, as long as you wear them (like the rebreather is for the enduring breath effect). This effect is useless to iksar, obviously, as they have natural infravision anyway, but it is very useful to human monks.
YAY!
