Yeah you can use these way better than a regular large lantern. They give off a lot of light, far more than a large lantern. The downside is that only gnomes can make them. So buy it off your friendly tinkerer (me if u are on Fennin Ro; look for Quickfinga).

How much better is this than a Large Lantern? Personally it just seems like a waste.
These have been available for quite some time now they aren't new. I made them to work up my tinkering skill back in June 2002.

They made be old but is there any use for them, are they any better than a regular old lattern that you can buy from vendor?
