It was far easier just to buy coldain gloves then to do this quest for the resulting gloves which are not as good.

your missing the point....its the fact that you do quests to get items....it doesnt really matter (to me anyways) what the out come is as long as you know that you did the quest and now it is out of the way

Ok people you can quit ******** now. These gloves are only the interim gloves that are handed in with another item obtained from the Potameid Matriachs living in the underwater caves in Jaggedpine Forest. The end result are the gloves of the pine. Stats on these are (but dont quote me on this) 9 ac 5 str 2 wis 10 mana 5 sv disease.

Since you know where the gloves are headed, you must know someone who has done so. Mind getting some more info for us? ;)

I checked for those 'Gloves of the Pine' with 10 WIS, and see no such thing either on this web site's quests, nor in a web search. Perhaps they exist, but perhaps this person is the kind who likes to spread disinformation, and perhaps even get players killed looking for a phony quest.

Ahhh... or maybe you should read what he posted! He said 2 Wis, not 10. And obviously that item isn't listed on this site or it would be there to be clicked on instead of these or he would have probably provided a link to them.

Actually if you follow this link https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=2157
you will see that he is wrong and that these are the end result. As the others have said these are garbage. Im wearing Gem Inlaid Gauntlets and wouldn't give them up for trash like this.

Yo, druid items are nice, but considering you can get things WAY better then these w/o the time, do these quest give more xp for award or is it going into a bigger and better quest cause these just suck about as much as.....nm :p

I would just get Split Paw Hide or Gnome Skin Gloves. Even the newbie quests from Surefall/Rivervale/Kelethin are better than these.

I had discovered the pantherskin gloves on Theoris Bladespur & held onto them until I could find the quest they belonged to... seems to me the level of the MoB's needed to be slain to gather the quest items are too great for such a discustingly inferior item!!! I was all stoked that perhaps THIS could be the druid eqivilant of some of the other class armor.. Ivy Etched, Totemic, Crafted.. BLAH is all I have to say!
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 24 2002 at 2:50 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) im not denying the fact that this reward blows, especially since this is our "long awaited pre-kunark quest armor for mid 30s", but theoris wasnt hard. put up thorns, nuked with starfire once, down half hp, nuked again, down to nothing in the bar and running, slashed once with my scimitar and he died. he was cake, what's the big fuss?

Theoris was the piece of cake (I hung around EK just casting the **** outta him RAAAR felt my inner warrior), the part I was refering to, was this from the quest link I read.. "The blackened mithril netting drops off a kobold advisor, also in the king area of solb. the advisor is a light blue to 60 shaman."
I did manage to group with a Monk who conned red to me (me being a 35th seasoned druid at the time) & looted the boots I need for that quest.. but it was in the very begining of Sol & he would pull to me. Died twice even though right near the zone, OUCH.
Suppose if I Camoed & hung around asking nicely to loot the Blackened Mithril Netting as I'm sure it's no drop then this quest isn't so bad.

good idea except that those kobolds all see through invis so you have to just hope people don't constantly train the IZ.

Hmmm....let's use your own words:

"what's the big fuss?"
"this reward blows"

"this is our "long awaited pre-kunark quest armor for mid 30s""
"nuked with starfire once, down half hp, nuked again"

You didn't "nuke with starfire" while while you were in your mid-30's, did you? Why sould we have to be 50+ to obtain armor we prolly wouldn't have used in our 20's?

oi i forgot starfire was higher. i dont pay attention to my spells. but still he has extremly low hp and doesnt hit for a lot that's my point. 2 30ish druids could off this guy. ping pong him. and he spawns quickly, i killed him 8 times when i was in EK getting spider silks. i should have elaborated.

/agree

Theoris was still blue to me at 42, luck had it our guild was having a gathering in EK when he attacked me. I've read all the Jaggedpine Druid armor quests, and it's WAY too much work for such weak armor.....make it simpler and lower the level down to 15-20 and you've got some decent stuff, otherwise forget doing it, it's not worth it.

Ok please you scroll up and read the first posting. It said 2 wis 10 mana Go use those split paw gloves far easier to get and 10 mana is not worth the difference As for the strength well i can go cast my str buff
