Earring of the Fleshwalker  

 

This item no longer drops in the game. It dropped from Captain Doria in Marauder's Mire.

I got mine in Marauder's Mire. A zone that was in the game, tested on the Legends server. The zone was removed from the game for unknown reasons.

This zone was located one ship crossing away from eurdin..swim out to an island and a ghost ship was located there.

To get to the island you had to complete a basic quest to get a 'key'. Once you had the key you needed to speak to a ghost-like lady and tell her you wanted to go to the 'mire' Then you would zone into the mire.

This item dropped from a final boss mob on the island. *working from memory... To kill final
boss you had to: (sort of a type of 'ring' quest)

1) clear the whole island of the mobs, they hit 200 range only some of them slowable, mostly melee.

2) after island was cleared a camp of Ogre would spawn near a campfire, you had to kill them in order.

3) another camp or two of mobs, clearing them all fast.

4) undead would spawn across the island, they were all pulled and killed fast. If you missed killing one of them the 'next' boss would not spawn.

5) when they were all dead, another mini-boss would spawn.

6) then deep in a hole in the center of the island the main boss was Captain Doria. The fight would take 30 to 40 level sixties to beat him. Im not sure if he could be done with less, a few people would still die.


Im not proud of the time i spent on Legends, it was fun to see the 'near end game' game for a change. But the people... well... a good quote i read on this forum someplace: "legends is for the people who have the money to go out, but not the friends."

I hope you had a better time on Legends if you went. I didnt go for Loot, But guilds there kill the top mobs soon as they spawan...there is lots of loot to be had when those mobs die so often.

the amount of HP and mana looks a bit low fo a Vex thal item (where tons of things used to have a minimum of 100 hp 100 mana)
