Have not seen the wantd yet

I solo this guy(78 Cleric.). Hammer is a long fight. Scythe is not too bad. I have not seen the Wand. Gave the Syth to my level 3 necro tonight.
Drop rate
# Sep 03 2006 at 9:50 AM Rating: Decent

I have killed this guy about 10 times now. Most of the time he has the scythe and I have only seen him dropped the hammer once. As for the wand, I have yet to see it dropped.

I haven't seen anyone mention if the Wand is a visible graphic or not - Killed him about 6-8 times now, always saw the hammer or the scythe (5 hammers, 3 scythes so far).

I've heard that it looks like a staff with a crooked fork on the end, but does anyone have a picture of it?

Guess I'll just keep trying to get it. :)

And another post for this one:

They have changed the model for Praetorian's weapon - at least the scythe.

It no longer looks like the big old scythe (ie. like the Necro pet one), it's a small hand scythe now. I got all excited thinking he had the Wand, when it was just another scythe. Bah!

The wand does have visible graphic in the shape of a staff. Hammer for the hammer and scythe for the scythe. Very straight forward. Also seems to be on a 24 hour repop timer, at least on Al'kabor but may be different PC side as that we are running MUCH older code.

Duoed

Duoed him, 66 bard and 66 beastlord. Gratz to my lvl 8 paladin for Divine Hammer of Consternation (Charko on Drinal) and gratz again to my 22 necro for Scythe of Sundering (Wangxing). If you don't believe me send a tell to either of these alts or to my main Xinglong. I can repeat it no problem without any fails. Have done him 3 times now without failing. Fun stuff =).

I dont know what you other 2 are thinking, unless you think Bards do no Dmg while kiteing. I know this can be done, as long as the bard knows what he is doing. Say the Bard DoT Kites his 4 Dots 5 if uses them like me thats enough DPS to knock off the guys regen makeing it very easy for the BST to Sick Pet stand back and watch. Its not Hard to belive at all accually. I Solo'd him what like 2 nights ago took me like 5 Mins But im 3.4 or 3.7 on Drum Mod and Max AAs in Affliction so the fight was cake to me. As for the the Duo Grats you 2 and very nice job. 70 Bard poVar

You gotta be kidding me. 66 bard/beast would have one hella time killing this guy.
unless the mob has been amped up since you killed him and today. see my post under his scythe/todays date
RE: Duoed
# Apr 15 2005 at 9:21 AM Rating: Decent
I totally can beleive that. I just duoed him like 4 days ago with a 70 necro. And as a 66 clr...I kinda just sat on my horse and looked cute, nuking occasionally. So pretty much, my necro buddy soloed this thing trying to get me that wand. We got the scythe, which he had already so it went to an SK in my guild who just wanted a scythe graphic. So, now there is an SK on Tunare server wearing a white Shade Silk Robe (dress) and carrying a scythe... he looks like a necro (a fairyish necro). And, I resume checking back to see if he's up, in hope of getting my clicky RGC ><
Spawn Time
# Feb 15 2004 at 2:16 PM Rating: Decent
I may have missed it in the previous posts, so if I did sorry for the repeat. What is the spawn time on Praetorian Myraland and does he have a place holder?

thanks

ok its pretty simple to tell what he has from my experience have killed him appx 10 times 6 syth / 4 hammers u can tell what he has because he holds the graphic what does it look like when he has the wand ? holding a wand ? holding nothing? can he duel wield has anyone ever seen him holding syth and drop it and wand ? tia
Still drops
# Feb 14 2004 at 6:56 AM Rating: Decent
My guild has been farming Praetor for a while now. I have killed him with people in the past and don't remember the Wand dropping once in the distant past. His respawn time is 3 days, but since GoD he has been around a lot, grin.

Have killed him 10 times in the last 3 weeks with patches and all, for 3 Scythes, 6 Hammers and only one wand. He DOES drop it, RARE drop from what I have seen. Out of maybe 15 times that I have been in on killing him only the one Wand, but it was after a recent GoD patch, so YES, it's still on the loot table.

Wondering

Easy to drop
# Jun 04 2003 at 3:15 AM Rating: Default
Easiest way to take out myral if he has the hammer that procs DA...

I the druid snare the mob, zone out, then zone back in. 10 minute snare. Chanter tashes over and over and over for about 3-5 mins, casting a variety of non-damage doing spells...tash, strength debuffs, etc...then tanks/pets move in. Chanter runs in big circle continues to debuff insanely...mob never hits anything so it never procs divine aura. Boom. Enjoy your hammer.

Well a 65 necro friend and I also 65 necro often duo this guy in about 10 min I would say. Pretty easy fight.
Not that bad...

Hard for one group.
# Dec 16 2002 at 8:21 AM Rating: Excellent
Long battle over 30 mins. This guys has outrageous regen. We did him last night with War, Rogue, Cleric, Shaman and two Druids, all with epics and 60+. While the Shaman, Cleric and One Druid alteranted CH's the other druid kept Dots on him and DD'd him. Dots did not last their full time and kept droping so was a full time job keeping them on. Fire resist seemed high but didn't resist any magic based spells other than snare. While he was rampaging, spells were resisted a lot more. Hits hard and fast, the couple of hits he did to me were over 200 each. At the end got and add and almost had to zone.
RE: Hard for one group.

As long as he does not have the Hammer with Divine aura on it this guy is doable by 4 people. Did him the other day on Cazic Thule with 1 64 chanter, 1 65 ranger, 1 62 druid, and me(62 cleric). The ranger engaged and melee'd him, and the chanter slowed and got hit once so his animation pet would attack him, I kept the ranger healed, and the druid did DoT's and DD's. The fight lasted about 3-5 minutes and he dropped with everyone still having mana. During the fight I was regaining more mana then I was using and everyone was at 50%+ until the end when we all burned him.

Over all he is an easy fight without the Divine Aura Hammer.

No wis? who cares!
# Oct 18 2002 at 11:38 AM Rating: Default
I have more than enough wis... being like 260 without any weapon in my main hand. This item is posibly one of the top 5 weapons in all the game for a cleric. The key is 100 mana 100 hps 20 sv all. That beats the blackstar and the sprinkler from NTov.

And I lost a 50% chance roll for it... sigh.

You Sir, are clearly an arrogant twinked idiot. Try to get 200 Wis in your mid 30's without your higher level chars doing all the work and then come back and repeat your statement.
RE: No wis? who cares!
# Oct 16 2003 at 6:18 PM Rating: Default
I only play one character. This is it. a 65 dwarven cleric of Brell. At first the only thing he focused on was increasing his wisdom. Its really easy to achieve a goal if its the only thing you are working for. I KNOW I had 200 wisdom before I had Complete Heal and I KNOW I had 255 wisdom WAY before I joined my first guild at 51. I didn't have much of anything else but people seemed to be satisfied with the fact that I didn't go OOM too often so I kept concentrating on mana. Its been tougher these days because I have to concentrate on FT items and resists as well. I long for the days when I only had to worry about ONE stat.

Um... anyone capable of killing this guy had better have damn near to max Wis/Int. Unless you plan on getting level 60ish and still walking around with 175.

Maybe if this were a post under a drop from some Kunark dungeon, I would back you up. But not from Grieg's End.
RE: No wis? who cares!
# Apr 27 2003 at 9:39 PM Rating: Default
ROFL, try getting into your 50s at least before you come here talking about drops you won't be seeing until then.

And yes, it's freaking easy as heck to get max Wis, even without having a higher level to twink you.
RE: No wis? who cares!
# Mar 05 2003 at 12:36 PM Rating: Default
Buddy,
Slow it down. My first character (Druid) without help, basically had those wis stats at those level intervals. Maybe you need a lesson in economics. x number of expansions OVER y amount of time = TONS of wis items, CHEAP. Granted the economy is different on every server, but on Rallos, I can "twink" out a fresh character to 200 without penny pinching anything. Don't post unless you will A)Share unknown info or B)Make a nerd laugh a little. WTF.
Great Item
# Sep 23 2002 at 9:20 AM Rating: Decent
Im the one that sent this in. Yes its right clickable, 12.0 sec as posted. With the 25 sta and the 100 hp its giving me roughly 175hp. A great toy to have I really enjoy it. The saves are great. Too bad no +wis on top of the 100mana or this would be one hell of a nice wand. It looks like the huge spear with a fork on the end with a crooked handle.

It is right clickable and 12.0 sec cast time.
Right Click or Proc?
# Aug 21 2002 at 3:17 PM Rating: Default
Whoever sent this in, is this a proc or is it right clickable? Good god, the strategic advantage for ToV and SSRA would be HUGE is this were right clickable.

The write up says "triggered", hence right-click.
If it was a proc, it would be labeled "random."

I would love to get my little dwarf hands on one of these bad boys. I could really use the saves on this. Great Raid item to help with those darn AOE in ToV.
