Just wondering how much these are worth in the bazaar? I figure not much since they drop of low lvl mobs and are common.
Looted it....

This item can also be looted in Inno Swamp. Varies on what mobs drop it but I know that I have looted at least 6-8 blocks in about a 3 hour time frame. Hope this helps.
In Najena too

Earth Elemental gave up a Small Brick of Ore to my wizard while he was sojourning in Najena, one winter's day.

PoK Vendor
----------

Tallis Paerk sells this item West of the Library @ /loc 63, 1389. He is in a room above the two guys fishing. He sells a good number of other Smithing items that come in handy when you are first starting out.

High Pass Keep Vendor
----------

There are two miners who are on your way down to the basement level who sell these. I don't think there is a forge in the zone and many people are KOS there, but I thought that I would list it anyways.

This can also be bought in North Freeport, from Kyrin Steelbone and Ardiflah Steadirt in Groflahs Forge in North Freeport. Kyrin also sells small pieces of ore. I bought a few stacks of small pieces of ore, a few stacks of water flasks, and a smithing chisel and got my smithing skill up to 27 from 0 in about 15 minutes, and managed to make a skinning knife my first try after these were trivial for me (at 27), so I managed to get that last low quality cat pelt and finally finish my dismal knight armor =)

Found on Creatures?
# Sep 26 2002 at 11:00 AM Rating: Decent
I have NEVER seen a creature drop this. Ore for newbie armor yes, but not actual smithable ore. Can anyone tell me what creatures may drop this?

So Rock Dervishes in Lavastorm commonly drop "Small Blocks of Ore." That is great. This provides a good starting point for blacksmiths seeking to raise thier skills above 100. Buying the ore really limits the ability to practice due to financial concerns. One can hunt Rock Dervishes, then forge sheets of metal to make banded armor and re-sell it for an actual profit. And small blocks of ore can be combined, I believe to make large blacks. Thanks for the help!
