Dear Mr. , Miss or Mrs. whom Posted @ Wed, Feb 7th 2:24 AM...if you are going to be a freakin' jerkoff and post something that flames someone, at least have the balls to put your name up there. I have a 13th level Iksar Monk and I got ALL of my armor through the curscale armor quests. .8 lbs is VITAL to a Monks existence. Anything more than 14 lbs and we take a serious AC penalty. Besides, you can armor yourself through these quests and get exp and make money at the same time...it seems like a win win to me.

For those of us who don't happen to have 40th level combat-machine druids or friends to feed us items and money, AC 4 for 5 gold is a heck of a deal. Then again, if you think AC 4 (equal to rhino hide) is low its probably because your one of the uber-twinks that runs around at 3rd in armor more appropiate to 40th.

#Anonymous, Posted: May 13 2001 at 11:39 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) bla bla bla, ive thought 4ac was horrible since my first char got to level 13. At lvl 6 I gave my bard a full suit of banded, thats not Cobalt quality armor. I didnt even give him a magic weapon for Brells sakes! Whats wrong with full banded at lvl 6? Helps you not die all the time and its not that big a deal.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 30 2001 at 4:56 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) bla bla bla - just shut your piehole and listen up junior.
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 01 2001 at 8:32 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I am running around in armor more appropriare to a lvl 40 at lvl 3. and i DIDN'T twink. And i'd still try to get one of these. what are you complaining about?

Not to mention it weighs 0.8 which is really important to a Monk. Until you can find a tailor making cured silk, or even afford it if you're a newbie, a 4ac hat that weighs 0.8 is great.

As a monk, I started brewing and tailoring around level 10, as soon as I could scrape the money together, to make myself cured silk. Besides, the weight penalty doesn't even kick in for monks until level 10, by which time they should easily be able to afford better than this.

And the cool graphic is gone now. Which is really sad, the dragon hat looked pretty cool. Before Luclin, I even saw people in their 50's and 60's still wearing it because they liked the graphic! But alas, now it has no graphic at all.

Oh well.
