Book Text:

All crafting begins with the
basics. Building on a strong
foundation will allow you to
craft powerful items.

Using your smithy hammer,
pound bloodied luclinite ore
into sheets, and quench it
with a flask of water. Water
will be the best for the
quench, as its density is far
lower than blood.

Similarly, you can elongate
and shape the bloodied
luclinite ore into rings
suitable for chain armor using
pliers, and once again
quenching with water.

You may find hides from
various creatures that have
been corrupted with bloodied
luclinite. Trim these hides
using Elm Handled Shears, and
with appropriate tanning
chemicals, tan these hides
into a leather.

There is also a similarly
corrupted type of silk that
can be found on various
creatures. If you can manage
to gather eight units, you can
use a sewing needle with some
simple thread to make a
durable heavy fabric.

Careful use of previously
mentioned tools, along with
filament silk thread, will
allow you to combine all of
these into a versatile patch
that can be used to make
powerful armor. This patch
will cast off the needless
elements when used in further
recipes. As the leather is
already trimmed to size,
shears won't be necessary,
though the other tools will
be.

Many weapons will require
wood. Similar to the silk and
hides, you can obtain timber
that is corrupted by bloodied
luclinite. Using a planing
tool and sandpaper, this
timber can be worked into

useful boards.

It might seem odd, but fish
scales can be used to make a
flexible, cloth-like material.
You'll need a scaler to remove
scales from the fish, but keep
the fish fillets as they can
be used in tasty recipes.
Weaving together ten of these
scales will make a patch, then
ten of those patches will make
a swatch. Weaving ten of these
swatches will result in a
sheet.

You can also hone bloodied
luclinite which can then be
enchanted and used to create
all sorts of items. Heat the

ore with two gnomish heat
sources until it glows, then
cool it with a flask of water.
This tempering process creates
an ore perfect for enchanting.
