holly hell ! just been in the gnome area hunting this for a buddy of mine , and some one looted it , paid 15pp for it *schurg* oh well it was worth it , i don't know HOW many drakes i killed ! good luck hunting this !
I have spent several hours each day for the last 4 or 5 days hunting and clearing the entire zone of monsters looking for these in various location. I have completed most of the other newbie quest (some easier than others) but this last piece eludes me. Ultra rare item on a rare mobs is an understatement. I feel sorry for any gnome warrior on progressive servers looking for their final task. Good luck finding this.
Finally got the rib cage to drop from an ebon drakling in the newbie pit by the druid rings. I lost count of the thousands of innocent monsters I slaughtered there to get them to spawn. But after 6 days finally got it to drop.
