Bricks

there is a vendor in the woodelf city that will sell enough bricks to get all pieces. He sits at the orc lift platform. They sell for no more than couple of gp's. Just don't do like i did and by all 21 at a time. You want be able to move so i had to sell some back until i could slowly walk back to the bank and unload.
Better than Scarab??

I don't really know about this one. I am currently running around with a partial set of the newbie armor and I got the small scarab breastplate until I can finish out the set. The scarab breastplate has a higher AC, but the stat buffs aren't as good. It is a hell of a lot easier to get, though, even if you have to spend the money and buy the pristine carapace. An investment of about 4PP will get you this one without having to camp stuff and wait for super rare drops.

You can spend 2 to 4 hours with the Aqua Gobbs, come up with 5 or 600 pp (as a level 10 and up 'newbie')

And go buy far better stuff at the bazaar having spend far less time. Ie Netherbian chittin goes for less than 50pp usually and is ac20 with str and svf bonuses.

The only problem is getting the level 20+ characters to give up farming the Aqua Gobs.

A note is that Verant's 'camping' policy requires anybody (or bodies) to share spawn at the camp equally regardless of who got there first. They will even send a GM to make sure the lvl 40 camping the place shares spawn with you.

some of the stats ARE weird. some of the sickest are all the strength the DE warrors get. if you had a FULL set it would be evry nice... I dont know, since I quested for 3 FULL scarab sets (boots, breast and helm) this makes me sick. A full set of ANY of thos noobie gear is what most poeple would concider late 20's, and thats ME playing. I cant even imagine how disgusted people are that have been playing the game longer then me. Like some of these weapons having better ratios then fine steel... Oh yea AND magical. I remember the panic that set in when I would go to attack a willow wisp and could not hit it at level 12 or so. (even though i COULD have killed it, it was INVULNERABLE!!!) A noobie will never know that fear now. Thats sad. Why the HELL are these items magical? so so VERY good? the only thing is I will love when the noobies cry, they cant give it away. the only real thing is to keep it int he bank for a CR when it becomes obsolete. hhahahaha

So you fashion yer very own Brells Blessed Breastplate. Then you turn and look at Pally next to you that just got his Underfoot Defenders Breastplate and notice your god (well more like VI) hates you cause even the pallys get more wisdom on his armor then you do....Smiley: mad
Okay

It's okay for the newbie who has nothing. Wish the other pieces had Wis though. The High Elf Clerics start off with more wis and then get 15 more with a full suit of their armor. The whole suit of Blessed armor only gives 3.

Combined with the fact you have to beg the High Lvl Farmers to give you the Bricks cause they are after the easy 3pp a piece blood/heads/steins/backbones, it would be easier to just buy some rings and get banded.
