This sword is 8/29 as of today on Fippy Darkpaw. Not sure why its reported as 10/29 here?

TLP servers have nerfed newbie items to be in line with the current expansions. As each expansion opens up, they will upgrade them until the become what they are on blue servers at the time they were available (or changed in stats) on those servers.

If you were running Lucy's Item Collector in the background as you played, you'd see this item's stats automatically updated.

Ok I herd all the ******** over the last year and i did some my self but lets face it you have to be at least Lv 9 to even start the Dwarven Warrior quest and the you get the quest that can be started at Lv 3 like in Qeynos.
My ***** is lets get it uniformed so all classes can do it with just a little bit less punching the computer screen.
hmm

I remember the days when i woulda loved to own this item! Back in the day when i thought a rusty halberd was a great item for my warrior, which was a long time ago mind you...but now, with the realease of the new expansions, it makes this item worthless. The easy attainability of some better items like the Axe of the Iron back or babs, which have been givin away for free, makes these newbie items worthless. Even a noobie can make a few pp and buy something better.
Dissapointed

Well, good thing for this site, I ALMOST did this quest. Very dissapointing, I made a warrior to use 1hs, not to run around like a Paladin with a 2HS. I really think this couldve been done better.
newbie quest armour

I think this is great armour for new players like me, I kill a varity of creatures (not just ones with pelts for the old leather armour), I make the armour myself and I am the only one who can wear it. I think the quest stuff is to get new players to explore the area as well as fight differant creatures you can earn money by selling the other things the creatures drop to save for better stuff at higher level but for now this is better than anything I can buy or make on my own.
It is worth it if you think of it from the point of view of the people it is made for (first time players or players who dont do tweaks).

#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 06 2002 at 10:22 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) this item is so worthless Smiley: smile Smiley: laugh Smiley: lol Smiley: boozing
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 06 2002 at 1:33 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Not a bad weapon but if you think about it theres many other cheap 2hs weaps that are way better. Even the axe of iron back... a p.o.s. at higher levels is like 16 37 which is already way better than this one. So it may be in your best interest to pick one up in dreadlands since they are completely worthless to the people there im sure they wouldnt mind parting with them.

I mean really, I hate people who do nothing but ***** about the noob quest items. I can see where some enterprising blacksmiths and tailors may be being put out because these armors and weapons are better than anything they could make and sell to the noobs, but what you should REALLY be ******** about is the existence of the bazaar where anyone with a few PP in their pocket can buy magic items that make your trade skilled gear look sad and drives the prices down. That's where you're REALLY losing the money, not the noob quest stuff, which is pretty much outdated at around level 15-20 anyway.

This weapon and the other pieces of the newbie armor quest isnt suppoesd to be worth the money. Its not about the lack of cheaply available weapons out there that are better. These are here for you to get for FREE. I mean come on people this is caller EverQuest, not EverLoot. Do the quests, get into your character. If you are a level 20 Dwarver warrior this armor would definately be a poor choice. That why you can get it at 8. For all the non-twinks out there this is a great way to not only earn experience by killing but to have something to show for it without having to pester for handouts or twinking with your higher level. I think VI was right on with this idea.
WTG Verant, and thanks for putting some of the quest back in EverQuest.

I agree this armor and weapon are great for starting out. Lot better then when i started out a couple years ago and the best you could do was leather from pelts.....
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 08 2002 at 4:26 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I got a 1H slash(dwarven axe), 2H slash(dwarven battle ax, I think), and 2H piercer(centi warspear) and my warrior isn't even made yet.
