I've been hunting griffons for the last 3 days for good solo exp for my 52 ranger. The loot has been decent over all. Had 2 of these drop on the third day. A guild friend looted the second due to the lore status. The 6ac is a nice bonus to the exp I got leveling up.

Got one of these tonight. Ac6 plus Agi3 at my level made this an ac10 agi3 Hp10 earring. Not bad until you think about the amount of Griff's you gotta kill to get one. But, I was gonna kill them anyways for the xp.

Never see people camping griffons over on Prexus, rarely do I see someone killing them, which makes for good hunting on my monk :)

hmmm... Griffons have the shortest life span of any mob in JP on Prexus. at any one time there are at least 4 people hunting them. good XP, coin drops of up to 7pp and chance of making a couple k from drops make them very popular
Earring AC

I currently wear a vah shir claw earring and an earring of comand. I am thinking of getting a pair of these but unsure as to if its better than either. I really like the stam on the vah shir and earring of command is just plain better. will have to sort it out

I need to get me a couple of these, wonder what the price will start at?

In my experience 3agi=1ac so when ye think about it this is 7ac +10HP. Very nice

Are you INSANE?! This earring is awesome, now that I know its here I'll have to head to JP. I have cougar claw earrings because they have 4ac on them, I've been trying for the Valh Shir Claw Earring (spell) since it has 5ac on it but you need one great group 55+ or two groups of 50+ to kill the guy in ME that drops it. And now this one has 6ac, thats insane ac on your ears! Think about the 6ac 65hp rings, they go for around 200-600pp and these have 6ac and 10hp and 3agi, I don't know about the rest of you but these are hands down going to be the most sought after earrings now to replace peoples cougar claw earrings. Sorry for long post, and I'm speaking from a Tanks point of very here, casters probably would rather have different earrings. BTW I'm 51 right now.

The AC is nice, but what makes those Velium Fire Wedding rings so nice isn't the AC, its the HP. In that respect, Orc Fangs *are* better than these, as they provide more HP. When a mob has a high enough ATK rating that your AC is pretty much irrelevant anyways, it comes down to HP to determine your survivability.

THat said, I'd take these over Orc Fangs in the end. The additional AC more than balances out the lower HP, at least in this instance between these two items.

i'd take this over orc fang because 5 hp isn't that much hp even if you added 5 hp to every single slot you have it's not going to make a difference ... the AC on this is ok but there are still a lot better out there ... 3 agi is better to me if you think about it because it effects your dodge , parry, riposte, block skills.
A Fanged Griffon?

I thought those mythical beasties had beaks, like an eagle's. If so, then it should be called 'Griffon Beak Earring', hehe, but still a nifty item.

AC 6 and 10 hp is pretty spiffy..
I saw no timber griffon with this must be the
rare like those cougar claw ones.

Very nice for melee, ivandyr hoop ac.. which my troll sk already has. OOH and droppable.. HAR HAR. Watch all the people camping griffs now..ahaha.
