I bought the golden bandit tooth from the vendor at the top of the newbie lift for 5 gold.
She had a whole stack.

good post but under the tunic section forgets to re-mention the orc fibula.... which i am having a heck of a time getting now.
You also only need 1 crude bronze per bracer. not 2
Aslo the ElvenS keleetons have the Tibia andits a pain in the *** but the ones near the wizard spires seem the best. I know they also spawn on the west side ofzone. If you are a ranger with tracking its a godsend.

Golden Bandits Tooth
# Aug 20 2002 at 12:32 PM Rating: Decent

There are bandits that are in a camp in the southern part of Greater Faydark, not too far from the spires. They'll drop the golden bandit tooth.

The hardest part to get is the orc fibula. I finally got one by accident last night. I ran into the Orc Warden when I zoned into Crushbone. Killed him, and he dropped the master key (that I needed for another quest) and the ever elusive fibula. Still need to find an orc ulna though.

The Golden Bandit tooth is dropped by the bandits at the bandit camp in Greater Faydark...just north of the wizard spires.

I wonder if theyll balance the newb quests? My DE SK feels a little left out (

How do you feel left out? The DE's all have newb armor quests. The SK armor especially, looks very cool. I completed a few of the pieces for my DE SK and and it looks like I just walked out of the Planes with him at lvl 11 with the new armor.

Think he may be talking about the stat difference between the armors. The newer the armor is, the better it gets. The Faydwer stuff blow the inkie quests away stat-wise. Compare the extra stat adds some time, it's amazing.
Nice stuff

I agree with Kenaron - for the level that you can attain it at, this stuff is great. I too remember cobbling together a suit of cloth armour and being all excited when I could afford to add some leather bits!
I guess these quests also give some purpose to all that Orc slaughtering that you should be doing anyway at this level, so all in all, nice job VI. And I don't get to say that very often! 8)

These newbie quests are awesome. I only wish these were around when I started any of my characters. Then I wouldnt of ran around with all that crap cloth armor. :)

same even for a level 19 Ranger, although the quests was fun I think they should have added wisdom to some items instead of stamina.. Also tie in a skill like fletching to complete part of the final ending, like the Paladins quest which starts you blacksmithing... Other than that it is pretty awsome..

I guess there is a reason for the brighter color green, perhaps to guide you towards the ivy armor quests??

I absotivly-axopleatly- agree.
I wonder if more of these type of quests will be around in EQ 2?

I dunno if they will or not. A lot of people think that these were a last ditch effort by verant to keep people in the game, I think if that was the purpose it worked well, because I was about to quit when they came out with the DE ones, but I think Verant finally realized that the begining of the game is very difficult.

i learned the hard way esp for any elf that it is best for these to be done on a blue server they dont hold a candle to the wurmy weilding crusty wearing orc lift campin dorfs and gnomes of vallonzek and i am sure it is the same on other pvp servers they are nice to do and i have pulled off my bards armor quests but he was killed in a sow song by an sk gnome in no time flat so good for pvp no but sure for blue
