It's only good if you have the strength to carry it, otherwise the weight of it is crippling. There are better 10 AC items out there. The Hooded Black Cloak found in Mistmoore has the same AC, 5 STR, and 45 HP and only weighs 2.5. It also drops from a level 33 mob, rather than a level 40.

Yeah old forgotten 'pointless' item. Though has anyone parsed the damage increase from this with the modern EQ's dps?
Is now no drop

Drops in the wolf cave (when the owl bears have taken it over), off a named owlbear called Skriat'Chee. Ac 10 hp 20 wt 15 - and is LORE NO DROP.

Looks like a downgraded ancient seahorse cloak.... forget the weight, it's still good for a lower level.

No, it's not. If you have to kill a level 40 mob to get it, you're not low level anymore and can get better drops than this. Even if you are a low level, it's not worth paying anything for this. 15 stone is going to be crippling unless you're a large race and maxed out your strength at character creation. That weight does matter because it limits what you can wear in your other slots without becoming encumbered.

While I realize that people think using the stones measure is cool and medieval, I find it rather unlikely that ANYTHING in EQ gives weight in stones. This cloak just about HAS to be in pounds; If it were in kilograms, it would weigh 33 pounds...but if the weight were in stones, it would weigh around 200 pounds. I kinda doubt that anyone would be wearing several tons worth of gear, even in a fantasy game.

Was in Firiona Vie and saw a merchant with some fetid bass on him. The 6 pound variety weighed 0.6, the 13 pound one was 1.3...so by that logic 1.0 wt = 10 pounds. A 150 pound cloak...damn, it better be sewn from white dwarf core material. :p

10lb pies weight 7.0. There is the conversion rate. 10 pounds = 7.0 WT...

The one they were smoking when they came up with this heavy piece of crap? I guess we know why they call it Evercrack now. Must of been on it when they configured this cloak. 15 stones. Not worth the effort to get even if it dropped off of a Deathfist Pawn in EC.
Ok...

15 Stones?!

Are they on crack? 15 stones for a AC10 cloak? Better be some ogres out there who just need to have some extra weight I guess. Most of the LORE items that drop in Hollowshade Moor are decent if not good, but this? I don't know.
