Rune Etched Greaves  

 

True, but Kromrif legs look absolutely ridiculous with most standard shaman gear, like totemic, rune etched, and the many varieties of colored chain looks. They're hideous. The quest is also very buggy, and the logs the GMs have available to deal with that stuff are totally inadequate, with the result that you might end up like me, having beaten Fergul within a scrap of his life only to have him poof without a trace, and to be told by the GMs that they have no record of any of it, and of course therefore can't do anything. Whoops, I'm just complaining now...suffice to say that rune etched looks MUCH better, if you are lucky enough to get a drop. Not that I would refuse the Kromrif if it were significantly better than what I have, based only on looks, but as soon as the rune etched dropped I'd be all over em.

The only other item I'd say compares to rune etched legs is jarsath legs, off of the hard-to-get jailor. He does sometimes get trained the zone and killed, and it's possible to get lucky like I did and loot em way :)
