#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 05 2003 at 2:50 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Absolut n00b ****** Rangers. AC? WTF? You are level 38, nothing hits you hard enough for you to even gripe about not having any AC. HP *****, you get hit, and you have 2000ac and 1200hp, you will die. There is no AC check when it comes to Mobs, they Hp Check. Yeah, ac is good to have but hp is what you need untill you can start getting high ac high HP gear. Seriously, you rangers are ****** stupid.

You're so wrong. Mobs and players both use their attack against targets AC to determine mitigation. More AC = less damage taken. Now, the difference between 900 AC and 950 AC will be barely noticeable mitigation wise on most mobs, but 900 to 1000 or 1050 you'd start to see it.

The agility on this will also help with avoidance. Not to mention finding saves on gear for this level of player is hard to do as well.

Nice Under 40 armor, that can hold you over into Tae Ew or Links of Hardened Clay.

All of these quests can be soloed. I did all of them between levels 31 and 37.

Talk to the LT. then go to the island. Sit and hide on the little outcropping where you can see the buccaneer. DON'T KILL HIM!!! If he is killed, it will take up to 2 RL DAYS for him to respawn. Just sit and be patient, this is a relatively safe spot. After one EQ day, Wiltin should spawn (sometimes a little longer). Snare, arrow, then melee and nuke him til he drops. I have gotten him 4 times, dropped the quiver every time.

My 2cp... I think he is triggered by Lt. Leafstalker- tried for a few days to get Wiltin waiting next to his camp, 3rd day buccaneer had been killed by other folks on the island, it was 6PM norrath time, and I logged my alt in Kel to talk to Lt Leafstalker, got back on with main on island and Wiltin spawned. Got pants to sell now. Try to talk to Lt and be on island same time?
Who knows for sure.... lotta work for pants worth only 500.
To hard to solo?

today I was rather lucky. I was able to come to the Gornit Spawn ( which is roughly where Wiltin Spawns ) and the buccaneer was killed already .. so I decided to wait for a bit and see what happened .. Lucky me Wiltin spawned up next and had the bloody Quiver of Kithicor on him. well I will tell you the people camping gornit said that her friend had camped him for 24 hours straight and that it would be a tale of either high improbablity or amazing luck .. was also lucky enough to be able to grab 2 of the 6 arrows before I had to go to work .. Good day ;-)

Looks like the last 2 arrows are the hardest to get ... If anyone on drinal is in need of these arrows and I come across one in lesser fay I will shout out a loc and what arrow .. Good Luck :-D

#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 09 2002 at 10:19 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) NONE of THESE QUESTS can be soloed and so far I've been able to get ZERO help on two servers Therris Thule and Stormhammer. Joining three different guilds was no help. My Ranger is Level 41 and in her banded (.

Realise this post is a thousand years old but WHAT? Level 41 in Banded Armour? Can't solo LF brownies? None of these quests can be soloed? 2 servers and 3 guilds!!

You seem to be going horribly horribly wrong somewhere, if you can't find help from the thousands of people on each of two servers, and haven't learned how to play solo yet...sorry, doesn't seem like it's the game at fault.
#Zaztik, Posted: Feb 03 2002 at 7:56 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Selling these leggings on the Prexus server. The +5 agility actually makes these legs 13ac, not 12, when equipped on my 56 Ranger. Send a tell to Zaztik if you wanna buy em.

im 46 now, dual weilding 10-22 and 10-24 weaps with maxed skills, and i can hardly solo those nasty casters. i soloed two of them [not at once], and almost died [about 150 hp left after combat] so bring a friend with u if possible, its much better.
Got mine finally
# Nov 05 2001 at 1:49 AM Rating: Decent
yeah, i got em ! but:

Camping in oot was boring, but, if u have druid or wiz friend who can bind there and port there every 8am eq time u are ok. Then brownies, was much more worse - u have to kill about 50+ pixies to get one brownie outcast to spawn, waiting for 5th and 6th arrow took us about 10 hrs RL time, not funny. Better get ry`gorr legs [unless u want green pants like me;]]

good luck!

Got em.. forget my previous post, and yeah, as a ranger who in the hell would give up AC?! AC IS NEEDED AS A RANGER !! And yeah STR is one of the easiest stats to boost, So I dont mean to flame you too but you are totally wrong.

Indeed, I'd get these leggings for looks alone, but ignoring that I have a whole bunch of other items that raise str. AC is much harder to come by
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 12 2001 at 2:35 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) hola fellow rangers...these really do suck i traded mine in for silver plated leggingsya sure i lost 2ac and some resist but who cares i gained 3 str and im a ranger in plate...so get yourself 300-500pp and get yourself silver plated leggings

I hate to flame you - but frankly you could not be more wrong. No Ranger in their right mind would give up AC and resists for 3 STR. STR, while very useful, is in my opinion the easiest stat to raise. FR and CR both in one piece, especially the legs, is just awesome.

As for the looks - that's a matter of taste, of course. Personally, I prefer Ry'Gorr, which is a reasonable upgrade to Ivy. But chances are you will save your Ivy legs for raids/situations that require FR and CR (Old World dragons come to mind).

These are kinda hard to quest for, but not too bad. You have to buy a star of erudin from Erudin, and get 6 I think, arrows from a type of brownie in L-fay. I've heard of the brownies kicking ***** of lvl 40's, so you'll need a few ppl for that part. All in all, not too shabby.
