What kind of collectables are being collected make this worthwhile?
When I get a collectable , I right click it and then it's collected and gone. I think this is just a waste of space.

This is nice because it only holds collections. If you put it in a top slot, collections will go in it, but non-collections will not go in it. Same thing with tradekskill bags. So if you top slot is this bag and a tradeskill bag, then all your loot can autosort itself as you drop stuff into your inventory. It can be quite handy when collecting ground spawns or gathering up extra collections for guild mates.

I have a Collector case on my Bazaar mule. As I find collectibles and click them as you mentioned. The duplicates I pass off to my mule to sell. Until I shared the case with my mule he had multiple bags full of collectibles. Now he has just the case.

I imagine the intended use is for those that want to farm collectibles, or to hold the duplicates while you are after an elusive one you could position this bag in one of your first topslots to prevent collectibles from going in a general-use bag and having to sort/clean through your bags later.
