Just got one of these and the Essence off Aten for the killer neck piece today. Been wanting and trying to get one of these babies for about 8 years now. 8 YEARS!
- Aten is always dead
- 1 week spawn? Sony, it's time to change that...
- takes forever for most classes to get to Aten (nearly everything sees invis, and Aten is as deep as you can get into VT)
- Can't bind yourself in VT
- Most classes don't have tracking to know if she's up.
Anyways, as an 85 mage with around 30k HP/Mana maxed out resists and 1600+ AA this item is STILL useful to me because it's the best dispel you can get. I have the dispel line, but not to this level of quality. Not to mention it's on a 3-second clicky!! I WILL be using this item when soloing/grouping.

by the way - this also has the effect Conundrum of Speed, a 15% spell haste on all spells.

I may not know much about the game, but aside from erudites being excluded from this little bad bay, when did verant allow for Vah Shir to be INT casters??
They aren't, neither are most of the other races listed on this item. This is VI / SOE's way of doing things instead of putting something like;
Races: All except Erudite. Some coding thing I imagine that just makes it easier for them to list all of the other races except the ones they don't include. Then again, since when has VI / SOE done anything that makes 100% perfect sense and works flawlessly and is easy to understand, lol.

actually Vah Shir can be int casters. Bards use int for their mana pool.

WTF another item in VT eurdites cant use wish i never got my key amost the rest of the items arent even tov quailty really
If you're fighting in VT and think that the loot is no better than ToV... how the heck did you get there?! There are things that drop in VT (many of them usable by any race) which make Velios seem like a very, very long time ago.
I do wonder, though, if it's worth going to VT these days. A guild capable of doing so is probably better off flagging through PoP.

Bear in mind when VT was first entered by FoH and AL the loot was utter crap. Nothing even vaguely resembling what it is now. It really did resemble glorified NToV loot.
It helps to advance far into the planes if your guild is VT equipped. =)
