Maxed Stats??
# Apr 25 2004 at 4:09 AM Rating: Decent
I personally have no real use for these but I have another question concerning a past post talking about "MAX" stats.

I am not sure how most people think, concerning gaining items that "MAX" their stats. I am actually a little confused. My line of thinking has always been to "MAX" your stats Unbuffed regardless of what buffs you may pick up in a Raid.

As a Shaman, my WIS and STA are maxed, with AA Cap raises, along with items that give HP/Mana. This is mainly to ensure that I don't technically need buffs, especially for raids with Dispell type mobs.

I'm not typing this to mock any particular post but more to find out how others think on this issue.

So this item, as well as most others, would definately be worth the fight and farm. I dunno, maybe its just me.

I too have always tried to maximize my stats as well. In end game events, having the option to "click off" unneeded buffs to make room for others is highly important. also if you happen to have your primary stats (im a shammy, stamina and wis are what i like to have as high as possible) insanely over max cap is useful in certain situations as well. Some mob have procs that lower all your stats by 200 or more (Terris Thule {time}). if your unbuffed wis is 355, you have to manage with 155...which is something most havent dealt with since lvl 10. having over the cap stats would lower this to 200-300, which sucks but its manageable.

These legs are great.
Str/Sta doesnt matter jack once you are killing this guy...guess why?
Because by the time you ARE killing him, you will have those two stats maxed out to 255 with Shaman Raid Buffs...and maybe even without them.

100Hp on legs is godly for meeles, these are the best tank legs pre VT Fiery Might, and hell, every meele class should aspire to own a pair of these.

So I guess you should just remove +str and +sta from all items since everybody get those maxed with raidbuffs? Get off the stupid ****, those pluses have to come from somewhere... And there's more to life than raiding or grouping with shammies. I like any pluses to my stats I can get...

I disagree. Any guild that has raided Shei must of taken a stop by sleeper's tomb to get all melee's a round of primal. Even in today's age of PoP and stat's up to 305, primal weapons still push all my melee stats (I'm a bard btw) up to 305. Hell, my STR caps with Primal alone. (No other buffs)

The only stat that really matters still is STA. That's big, after all, in higher zones HP>All. =P

I frequently kill named in AR, SSRA, and Teir one and two PoP, and not sure if anyone in my guild has bothered to get a ST key. /shrug

As a paladin, I say these are good shaman legs. I don't like the reduced AC.
Even with PoP buffs I dont find my STA maxed at all.
These have mana and HP for shaman canni.

stop bashing beastlords. if you've ever grouped with one they are really quite helpful. these leggs are a godsend for alot of beastlords.

Figure in the +15AGI and you have about +5AC too, for 25 total AC.

Not bad legs!

15 AC is only about +2 AC.
