Items in order
# Oct 16 2002 at 2:43 PM Rating: Default
Some quests require you to place the items into the trade window in the order in which they were requested. I know this is true with the old warrior quest armor. I put them in wrong the first time then went back to check the order that they were asked for. When I placed them in the requested order, starting at the top of the trade window and moving straight down, I received the weapon.

no order, just gotta be sure to hand them in unstacked, you will lose all of items if they are in stacks of 2 or more.
Necessary?

Is it necessary to complete all the armor quests to get the sword? Seems like the components for this are easier to obtain.

Nope, you can get the sword without having any of the armor if you want. This is the case for all the newbie armor quest lines. For example, my Ranger had only completed two of her armor quests when she lucked out and got the key she needed to get her sword.

Has anyone had problems in obtaining both the Songweavers weapon and this one? I have the Songweavers, and have turned in the required items for the Wind Spirit's twice, with no success. Can you have both at the same time?

I had the same problem. I turned in the correct items, but got nothign in return - no sword, no message, nothing. I had extra pelvises, and was able to find blood on a vendor there in the guild, and tried again - success! I did a bug report, and do a feedback as well.

I had the same problem and then i handed in the 2 items stacked instead of seperate (go figure) and it worked.

Hope it helps.
Songweaver's longsword is a lot better

Now this is IMHO the only case where Songweaver's surpass Wind Spirit's - the sword you get from FP newbie quest is 8/30 magic, substantially better. Same katana look.
(Not too hard to get as well if you're lucky - you can simply ask to loot the 3 orc chieftains' beads in EC and whoever is camping orc1 and orc2 will agree... was my case, gladly)

Heck, why don't newbie lvl 17 bards just duel wield them both, they are each very easy, and they also each look cool.

Both of the Quest swords are primary slot ONLY, so one cannot duel wield these. Too bad, because although they are not the greatest weapons at this level, I would still like to have both of them at the same time.
Easy to get

All the items that you need for this are droppable and cheap. Imagine my surprise when I was able to get one without ever leaving SOUTH Qeynos, which is where the quest is really found. Too bad there is no stats or anything on the sword.
