Deity Choices

When I was a newbie and created this toon, I really wish there was some explanation given >why< most high elves chose to follow Tunare. Like, "Hey folks, you sure can pick another deity, but you won't be able to wear the good race specific armor".

To date, no, there is no way to change your initial deity choice.

Erolissi Marr, the Queen of Love seemed like such a good choice at the time. (sigh)

Can I change my deity?
# Oct 31 2002 at 10:35 AM Rating: Default
My HIE wiz is agnostic, but Id like some of these leggings. Is there a way, quest, /petition to choose Tunare as my deity Id really like to know.

I could have sworn that two years ago when I started this game I read somewhere that I could always go back and choose a religion if I went agnostic.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

I was really hopefull when the new smithed armour came out that they might have finally added something for the Erolosi Mar followers. But yet again everything for high elves is set for tunare and everything for Erolosi Mar is set for Wiz casters. Oh well ive waitied this long Im sure i can wait some more

Safe travels

This is along the same line as we Solusek Ro followers. Sure, the rings are great (if you can deal with the Strength hits) but it would be nice to have at least one piece of armour of this quality that we could wear. Oh well.

As with all Tunare diety cultural armor, these use imbued emeralds. To make it for a different diety simply use a different kind of imbued gems. To make this for someone worshiping Karana, use imbued plains pebbles. If you want this for yourself an arent worshipping Tunare, simply find out what your diety gem is, find a grand master high elf smith, and have him make you one

Sorry... it doesn't work like that at all.

This stuff only comes in 2 flavours... Tunare or non-Tunare... the difference is that if you have the non-Tunare version, you lose the +15 INT

Hmm, can't say I've ever seen a half-elven int-based caster. *sigh* Lazy coders...

I think Half-elf bards are the only ones that use int.

Yes, we do use INT for our mana (what few songs actually USE it)...but this isn't wearable by us and anyway, we don't as a general rule choose int over dex/cha/ac just for a little mana

Seeing how it's a tunic rather then a robe, will it look awkward to wear? Do I gotta get the other visable pieces just so I look normal?

Full instructions...

Requires...
2 Spider Silk
MEDIUM Chainmail pattern
Emerald
2 Large Bricks of Velium
2 Coldain Velium Tempers
3 Large Bricks of Mithril
6 Flasks of Water (not foraged or summoned)
3 Celestial Solvent
3 Spell research components (Scent of Marr recommended... it's Vendor sold in EC, South Qeynos and Ak'Anon)
3 Celestial Solvent
3 Jars of Acid
3 Blue Diamonds
2 Essence of Moonlight (dropped in Kithkor during daylight and Mistmoore during night)
1 Swirling Mist (dropped by various Air/Steam Elementals)
1 Morning Dew (foraged in Lesser or Greater Faydark)
Mortar and Pestle (used by Rogues for Poison Making)
Regular Forge
Koada'Dal Forge (only in Felwith)
Elven Smithing Hammer

Preparation Steps (can be done in any order)
#1 Have a Druid or Cleric of Tunare (29th level or higher) Imbue the Emerald.

#2 Have an Enchanter (49th level or higher) enchant all 3 Large Bricks of Mithril.

#3 Combine the 2 Spider Silks (unstacked) in a Tailoring Kit or Loom to produce a Silk Swatch (trivial at Tailoring 15).

#4 Combine 1 Celestial Solvent and 1 Scent of Marr (see above) in the Pestle and Mortar (no fail combine) 3 times to produce 3 Celestial Essence.

#5 Combine 1 Blue Diamond and 1 Jar of Acid in a Potters Kiln 3 times to produce 3 Powdered Blue Diamonds (trivial at or below Pottery 93)

#6 Combine 1 Large Brick of Velium and 1 Coldain Velium Temper in a REGULAR forge (will not work in the Koada'Dal Forge) to produce 2 Velium Rings (stackable)... repeat to produce 2 more, discarding 1 (you only need 3 Velium Rings... this step is trivial at or below Blacksmith 88)

#7 Combine 2 Essence of Moonlight(unstacked), 1 Morning Dew and 1 Vial of Mist in a Brewers Barrel (trivial at Brewing skill 135) to produce 1 Moonlight Temper.

Intermediate Step #A - Celestial Temper, repeat 3 times

#1 Take 1 Celestial Essence (from Prep #4, above) and 2 Water Flasks and combine them in a Brewers Barrel to produce 1 Purified Water (trivial at or below Brewing 117)

#2 Take the Purified Water and 1 Blue Diamond Powder and combine them again in the Barrel to produce Celestial Temper (trivial at Brewing 136)

Intermediate Step #B - Infused Mithril Ring, repeat 3 times

Take the Elven Smithing Hammer (will be returned, even on a failed combine),1 Celestial Temper, 1 Velium Ring and 1 Enchanted Large Brick of Mithril and combine them in the KOADA'DAL Forge (will not work in Regular Forge) to produce 1 Infused Mithril Ring (trivial at or below Blacksmithing 242)

The Grand Finale

Take all 3 Infused Mithril Rings (again, unstacked!), the Silk Swatch, the Moonlight Temper, the Medium Chainmail Pattern, the Imbued Emerald and the Elven Smithing Hammer and place them in the Koada'Dal Forge...

...cross your fingers, click your heels 3 times, shout out "I believe in Fairies!"... pray...
and hit 'Combine'... this bit isn't trivial, even at Blacksmithing 250, so don't be too suprised if all you have at the end is your Elven Smithing Hammer sitting on your cursor.

If you've succeeded, then congratulations!!

Not Robe?
# Jun 20 2002 at 7:02 PM Rating: Default
This doesn't have a robe look I take it? That would be cool, as long as it doesn't have a cloth (naked) look. Maybe Leather or something. Definitely decent Stats; although a little low on AC.

It's looks like a green chain tunic.
