I remember the days of parties looking for lego bracers a whole what +3 AC? and so on. These are very nice for a level 5-10 aquirable item. if the undead event would simply stop slaughtering me....

I agree.. Though PVP thinking, I say this armor is the best. The whole set up. Its no drop, so cannot be looted. And it gives nice little stats.. certainly enough for a well trained ranger to survive. It is what my Ranger wears on Sullon Rek..
As for regular servers, these items are still great. Low levels get more levels while collecting the pieces necessary. And the stats work well for a good while until more plat becomes available and you can get the hottness, like leafrunner and torkin's bracer..

this is a good starter item untill you can afford golden jade bracelets.
