I did a generic search in the bazaar today, and this popped up for 20pp. After rubbing my eyes and pinching myself for several seconds, I ran and grabbed it.

My question now is, with a young Mage (35, currently) with 240-something INT, is this something I should be wearing instead of a Festive Doll? It's a whole lot of stats to lose, but I'm trying to work on my FT early. I've already got FT2, and will have FT3 when I hit my 40s.

New FT1 Range item From hollowshade war
# May 13 2003 at 9:15 PM Rating: Decent

There is a new FT1 item for range slot as result of holloshade war. Stats are sorta weak but probably comparable to this. Also has 3% med which is great for those lower lvl people whose med skill is not 252.

By the way, the hollowshade war can very easily be soloed by a 59 mage. It also works now.

This contraption item needs a raid force to get.

Actually, I think a % modification on skills is much more useful for a high level than a low level.

At 20 meditation skill, 3% of that is less than 1.

At 250 meditation, 3% is 7.5.

That's true but meditation is capped at 252.

So if you're already at 250 that 7.5 only gives you 2

If you're at say 200 then you still get like 6.6 either way, it's a great item.

Eye of the owlbear mother I think it's called.

Saw it for 9000p in the bazaar once, but I dont think its all that great, only FT1 one extra mana every tick so 5 extra mana every minute *shrug*
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 03 2003 at 7:54 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) That was a decent price. FT1 is amaizing, just think of it as a breeze that stacks with kei. That doesnt wear off. FT1 is the equivelent of regen or haste to a meele
RE: Is the price right?

You mean 10 mana every minute.
RE: Is the price right?
# Apr 12 2003 at 9:43 PM Rating: Decent
Right, but you have to start somewhere if you want to add up all the FT to get closer to the cap (FT15).

Having a range item with FT isn't very common and this is a good opportunity for it.

As for the price, I still wouldn't pay more than 10k for it..

This is definitely not 5k on rodcet nife. I have only seen 2 of these EVER in the bazaar. The first was 30k (wish I had bought it) and the latest was 50k.

If this is 5k+ on your server, might want to look up the potc quested earring. I bought all components required in bazaar for about 6.5k total. No fail combine in a forge and voila. >> produces >> Very nice earring, dru spell and it has ft1 also. Other than the ft1 this item is pretty weak for someone of your level. 8)

Umm, sorry, but this is awesome. Exactly what better item do most 56 druids have in their range slot?I would replace a 10 wis range slot item with this in a second. FT 1 increases the rate at which your mana regens. It also stacks with other FT1 through FT10 items, like the earring of the solstice, as well as KEI and other mana regen spells. And, they have taken the FT limit of 15 off, so you can have as much FT regen as you can obtain.

Mana regen rate is much more important that your overall mana pool size, except for single mob encounters, where the timeframe is too short to regen much mana. For most raids, or experience grinds, its not how much mana you start iwth that's important, its how fast you get it back.

Unfortunately, this item is NOT 5k, or I'd already have one.

the only items I would even consider over this, would be items that had focus effects, like improved healing III, Mana Conservation III, or for a druid, something like Improved damage III, or Increased range III.

For casters, the effects, like FT1 and focus effects, make a WHOLE lot more difference than a couple extra wisdom. Especially since you can get items like a shield of bane warding, or pearl kedge totem, and pick up 38wis in two slots.

Well... If I won this I wouldn't replace my Divine Inspiration with it, since it is (as mentioned before) only 1 mana extra per tick.

Since I don't know your base wis, I can't be 100% certain, but looking at your gear, I'd say you could take out the divine inspiration, and still have 255 wis. In that case, you're only losing 35 mana. Regenning an extra mana per tick, is more important that having a mana pool of 35 more mana, in most situations. Besides, if you have KEI, you only need an unbuffed wisdom of 230, and this effect stacks with KEI. Personally, I'd take this over the divine inspiration. Plus, once you finish out your elysians with the tunic, you'll have another 7 wis you don't need (since you're at 255 already), so the high wis range item becomes MUCH less important.

hey! someone answer the person's question! I'm curious too :)
#StrungOut, Posted: Jun 11 2002 at 8:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Stats are kind of newbie for that kind of drop, I could see using this on downtime to med but I'd rather have my talisman of benevolence in there full time. All in all, a decent item that will sell for ridiculous ammounts of plat...VI really is trying to ***** up the economy making all these non no drop FT items aren't they?
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 02 2002 at 9:41 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Soooo, you're a newbie if you don't have a Talisman of Benevolence?
Not Random

They aren't "Random" in Cazic Thule =D its one of the drops from the walk the gnome quest in the maze.
Drop Rot
# Jun 11 2002 at 2:31 PM Rating: Decent
"Dropped randomly throughout Cazic Thule." it says. I know CT is near impossible to stay alive in now, but what are the chances of these things just rotting? They are LORE, so these can't really be farmed effectively. Seeing that the upper denizens of CT can't see through Invis, how likely is it for a lowly character to sneak in and wait for a rot-drop?
RE: Drop Rot
# Jun 11 2002 at 3:28 PM Rating: Decent
IMPOSSIBLY UNLIKELY.. on saryrn when we go to CT we're lucky to get some FT3 boots every 6 hours and there are 6 in the group. same with this item. noone will camp CT for the 24 hours straight needed to get 6 of these if they are on equal drop rate as the FT3 boots. Level up and get a group there yourself.
