ok you can not have a necro pet and this out at the same time. also can not be chain cast as its makes a named sword pet and you may only have one named pet at a time
just IMO i think this shoud go to a wizard. we have the spell and would nice to have it with out using mana. so everyone knows this will not hold off anything for u... he has maybe 200hp max. hes a wizard DoT and draws crazy agro if u dont know how to use um right.. ive seen one of these so far. thought it was very cool. i cant wait to get the spell few more lvls left. gratz to anyone who gets.
No way.. When this drops for us, its going to a non-wizard almost for sure... I'd buy it just to **** off wizards.
You have any idea how much necros hate it when wizards get a AoN from PoFear and turn into a Skelly during raids? So if you gunna steal a trademark of necros, only right we should get to do something wizardish..
i know that if a wizard has out his familiar he cant summon this, but do u have to have the familiar spell off or can u just tell it to go away...also... i dont think a necro or mage can have their pet at the same time as this...any info on that would be much appreciated
Nice little toy for mages and necros who already have pets, be nice to have a sidekick - even better if they mage or necro has the right aa skills, be like a Tarzan soloing.
The sword counts as a pet, and as such necros and mages coudnt use it in conjunction with there other pets. Sooo.. other than the nice stats when would they use this?
please don't flame me but i thought this was a decent item and if for nothing else to have in a bag which would be massive stupid since if you aren't going to wear it you should have let someone else claim it at raid, but the effect is nice when you are s.o.l. and need something to hold out till you have mana, and i didn't think the stats are bad and if you have friends in a nice guild that can take VT or are in guild that presently hunts there i think it would be worth it. so my question is is it or not, i mean at the lvl it takes to obtain this would it be worth it to get or try and get it?
Pretty bad for the level to get it......BUT the effect isnt really that bad......A) What if the caster cant have a pet (Wizard) it is alwas nice to have extra damage also it has no mana cost. also if your traveling through out norrath and get a skellie to attack you, Chances are there not going to interrubt you.
Yup, it's a wizard spell. Bein able to cast without spending 700 mana a shot would certainly be nice :) Don't know if its possible for the pet classes to have a sword and a pet up at once...anyone able to test, please?
Oh...and if you're in Vex Thal its unlikely that a regular trash skellie in WC would interrupt your casting...never does for me.

what would you consider risk/reward +100ac +55 all stats +100 all resist +3khp +3kmp +25% all skill mods effect aego of the nameless wearable any slot? i know verant has out done themselves with some rewards on mobs that many have outgrown but to put items out with stats such as the above would (even though the stats on are probably about right for the dificulty) greatly outbalance the person who gets it. i would say more but no need. all you whining about this drop should really get a life, the amount of time it takes to even get here means you do very little but EQ, or did, cause youve probably quit or committed suicide after wasting so much time your life to get into vex thall.
i wont be the first to admit this effect sux. but dont complain about the difficulty of the mob most wont see in their lifetime. hell i know some that have gone thru most of the 50s and never seen a plane. imagine if life had handed you a blow like that..... not everyone is as blessed as your guild is (well not blessed, rephrase, dont have as much free time).
In a way I agree with Ryu. Especially all that is coming out now with the Focus and god help me what will come out with PoP, things are becoming crappy because there is stuff out there that is too godly. You would think a 1/1 Ratio on a weapon would be good enough, or 15 ac, 10 int, and 75 mana (not mentioning the crappy mod, or effect, or SVs) on a damn neckpiece would be good enough. It's attitudes that nothing is ever good enough that makes it where Epics are now trash, and you only wear them to look cool. Attitudes like this ******** up the economy where swords that were 10k are now 700pp... Maybe Verant should take a look at what they are doing instead of arn't.

Not to take anything away from what the uber guilds accomplish, but I hesitate to call them the "life blood" of Sony/Verant. I even hesitate to call them the life blood of EQ. If your average "uber" player plays 12 hours a day weekdays and 16 hours a day weekends, that's only 92 hours a week. Six people playing 14 hours a week are spending two more hours a week total. And I'm pretty sure that for every 1 uber player there are at least 6 non-ubers, if not more. Or maybe instead of measuring time logged, you'd like to measure accounts paid for? If that's your measure of the "commitment of the uber", maybe the average uber player has 3 or 4 accounts (I met someone that plays 6 accounts at once. He's NEVER lfg, because he IS a group). If the average uber player represents only 10 percent of the player base, then you've got 10 percent playing 4 accounts a piece and 90 percent playing one account a piece. Sony/Verant is STILL making more money off the non-uber.
The Uber do incredible things, and they have worked hard to be where they are, but they are the elite, not the "life blood". When the game is geared more to the elite than the regular guys, THAT'S when you start to lose your player base, because no one wants to be jealous all the time.
Not a bad spell to chain cast after the MT gets aggro. Does nice damage and can be cast while the mob is being debuffed instead of standing there waiting for assist call, since most MTs take roughly 10 seconds to gain aggro.
